I've been meaning to do this ever since the thread about what Star Wars Military Contractor you'd use to build your planets defenses with. Any hoo. My question is this: What SciFi Universe would you choose to have your Planets defenses built by (name a couple if you really want)? They can either use their own tech or use the tech of your universe, either way they would still design it the way in which you saw it or read about it. I have three picks. 1) The Tollan, from Stargate SG-1 (see episode 315 "Pretense") 2) The Peoples Republic of Havens Hades Satellite/Mine field, from Honor Harrington (see HH #8 Echoes of Honor) 3) Earth Alliance, from Babylon 5 (see episode 420 "End Game").
I put the Tollan as my number one choice for a very good reason: They have planetary defense batteries that can track and destroy Gliders (Goa'uld Trans-Atmoshperic Fighters) just as easily as Motherships (Large Goa'uld Warship/Troop Transpot, also Trans-Atmoshperic). Mind you it takes just one of these batteries to destroy a ship the size of the Pyramids and it's about the size of Trailer Park trailer!
