Black Beauty (at least the one I'm thinking of) was from Green Hornet

I never saw an episode of the show but I thought Black Beauty had missile launchers in it.

Either way I would rather see Kato kick the shit out of Michael Knight. Ever since the pilot of Knight Rider where he was supposed to be "highly trained in the marital arts" I've been pissed at Knight's lame-ass fighting skills. So, just because they went for the cheap laugh in the pilot I'd like to see Hasselhoff...I mean Knight get stomped.

The Green Hornet (w. Van Williams and Bruce Lee) lasted for barely one season on ABC. Even blatant plugs and a crossover episode on Batman failed to save the show for a second year.

Black Beauty, GH's ride, was yet another fantastic creation of Kar Kustomiser George Barris, the genius behind every famous TV car of the 60s, including the Batmobile and my own favourite, the Munster Koach. Built on the classic Lincoln Continental, Black Beauty was as fast as the Batmobile and bulletproof —a fast rolling tank. I never heard that it was armed.

Either way I would rather see Kato kick the shit out of Michael Knight. That's nice. But it won't do much good in a brute-force matchup. We're talking about a ton and a half of Detroit iron being pushed forward by a big 462 Lincoln motor.

This is the same car that beat the heck out of a semi..KITT has lasers (he used it to destroy KARR, IIRC, and later used it to beat said semi). KITT has been fired on by US artillery without a scratch..I think he'd beat a non-sentient Lincoln

oops! my bad on the Black Beautys origin. anyway i've seen a Die Cast replica of the BB. The pic showed it had Missles and a Gatlin Gun mounted in the front. Kitt had a Laser and had mount points for other weaponry for missions that require Kitt to be well armed. however for the most part Kitt was armed with just the Laser. One vehicle that was a real monster was the Goliath Truck. It was a Big Rig with Kitts Armor and some missle lauchers.

Ah so there is some truth to all those quotes about KITT being virtually indestructible.

i wouldn't say Kitt was indestructable. In the battle With Goliath, Kitt was rammed by the Truck and was severely damaged.( thay had to rig his turbo as a Ramjet for him to be able to move) Also another vechicle called the "Juggernaught" nearly destroyed Kitt which was why he was rebuilt with the famous "Super Pursuit" mode installed. That was the mode where all that weird shit popped out of him when Knight pushed a button.

Well KITT vs Goliath both had the Molecular Bonded Shell, except of course the truck is a lot heavier. In the Juggernaut ep, KITT was sprayed with some armor nullifier thingy.
