Daleks versus Stormies
Ok it seems everyone is allowed to make up an utterly stupid sci-fi versus scenario- so who would win? Daleks or Stormies?

The weird little arms and then a quick cut over to poor victim - image flashes between negative and normal (repeat several times) - victim falls over dead with no noticable injury/trauma other than yelp of pain.

Well there have been daleks with flamethrowers, ones that shoot a form of energy projectile (which is called a directed energy weapon and blasts the victim across at least 25 feet, and liquifies internal organs), ones that shoot some form or aerosol ( ). Also in the war of the daleks book are daleks with eight legs called (unsurprisingly) spider daleks. There is also a special weapons dalek whe seems to be able to vaporise anything he likes, regardless of shape and size Some can hover, some can't. Oh and finally, some are truly devious, and some are as thick as darkstar. The more advanced daleks would make short work of equal numbers of stormies. The less advanced ones would not do very well.
One thing we do know regarding their armour. They are basically immune to small arms from the 60's 70's and 80's (and probably modern ones too.) But anti tank ordanance takes them out, therefore an e-11 on maximum setting would disable them and blast a fair sized hole, but on a lower setting we can't be sure.

All Daleks from 'Remembrance of the Daleks' and onwards can hover - a design feature included so they could finally handle friggin' stairs!
There are a number of Dalek designs but the biggest canon difference would be the Special Weapons Dalek which was seen in 'Remembrance of the Daleks' ... and that thing was taking out numerous Daleks with one shot at a time.
Dalek standard weapons are made to work against organic targets, often bypassing right through personal armour ... they can also cut through thick metals with time (like a cutting torch).
Dalek durability makes them immune to standard weapons fire - sidearms, rifles, shotguns, automatic assault rifles and even some energy weapons are completely useless against them. However, it has been seen that rocket launchers and anti-tank weapons will pretty much obliterate them.
On the technology side of things - the Daleks clearly have FTL space travel technology but they also have something that even the Empire doesn't; reliable Time Travel Technology in the form of the 'Time Corridor System'. While it's nowhere near as sophisticated as the time travel tech employed by the Time Lords of Gallifrey, it's still reasonably good...

Could stormtrooper armor resist Dalek attacks?

That would depend. Possibly the areosol version (what were they thinking?!) but the rememberence of the daleks version would kill them through KE transfer regardless of the armour.Vympel wrote:Could stormtrooper armor resist Dalek attacks?
