No, no, and probably yes. After all I did specify mundane's didn't I?Darth Wong wrote:Didn't that require contact, a restrained victim, and far more time than it would take for a Jedi to separate a P12's head from his body?Crown wrote:I think the point that Alyrium is talking about is the 'Mind Shredding', seen in the episode The Corps is Mother, The Corps is Father in season 5. Where a P10 telepath trained in this technique is a danger to a P12, and a P12 telepath can kill a mundane in an instant. A very nasty bit of business.
Yep in KJA's shitology, but the Darth Maul reference is more prelevant in that it was against a telepath and not a mundane. Hey I believe Anakin (or any Jedi) takes this one hands down, I mean no telepath has ever been able to hold conversations at a distance we have seen in Star Wars, both in the movies and in the EU. So clearly Jedi telepathy is a hell of a lot more powerfull then any telepath.Darth Wong wrote:IIRC, in the books, a Sith Lord can wipe minds.Crown wrote:However, Jedi do have a clear advantage over telepaths, wasn't Darth Maul once scanned by a telepath? And didn't he just mind fuck the telepath straight away? Clearly Bester is a danger, but not to a Jedi.
The whole Mind Trick, thing is what people keep misunderstanding. It's called a Mind Trick, because the Jedi just plants a suggestion in the target's mind. If they are weak willed, then the suggestion is followed, if they are strong willed then they don't. But what is important is that the Jedi don't take control (or even try to take control) over the target's mind. It would be a violation of their ideals. Anakin though isn't bound by any of that, he would be in there and re-arranging thoughts and minds in a second. Much like C'boath in Zahn's triology.
