All the various factions in both George Lucas's and Roddenberry's creations unite in a common cause. They are out to destroy the other. Total omnipotent groups on both sides with an example being the Q are on the sideline watching rather than participating. However those that could be considered "Demis" are allowed for example the Emperor or Spirit of Abyss. The one restriction is forces from a particular universe must be all drawn from the same time period. The different factions on each side are connected by wormholes and are aware that in 5 years wormholes will appear connecting them to the other side. So that means for example the EU is counted under Lucas's side and Roddenberry gets EFC and Andromeda.
