Has anybody any idea what the flying vehicle was... that was seen breifly hovering up over many skeletal terminators? It didn't appear to be a standard Hunter-Killer, as its underbelly was bristling with gun turrets...
Just wondering if it was covered in any comics etc...
There also seemed to be a mini-HK flying through a building.
Question about the T3 trailer...

Another, heavier version of the Aerial HK, possibly due to the altered timeline caused by Skynet not having Judgement Day in '97 as usual.
The smaller unit was also a likely scout version like the Flying Mini-Hunter in the T2-3D show.
The Aerial HKs were pitifully armoured and so Skynet produced a much beefier version known as the Hunter-Killer Bomber with 4 powerplants, increased armour and a bomb load plus additional phased plasma turrets.

I haven't seen the trailer.
However a four-engine HK bomber was created for the T2 Future war along with a lot of other stuff, ground HK tankss with extra guns and the like.
These all got cut as the Future war scene its selve got chopped down from something like 20 minutes to what we see in the movie. Mind you that was all before principal photography, no ones sitting on a huge pile of never seen future war footage. The T2 Ultimate DVD does have most o the concept art though which is about as far as most got.
Since T3 is suppose to have a much longer Future War, it sounds like they grabbed the concept art and brought it to life, something run and production time and money wouldn't allow Cameron to do.

Possibly, they seem only armed with small rockets to take select light targets out, but then we already have the Mini-Aerial Hunters, but then this is when Skynet is starting up in this new timeline so obviously it doesn't have phased plasma weapons yet.2000AD wrote:Could the ;little flier things be HK Recons as seen in the game T: Dawn of Fate?
