I think it sounds cool, though of course it remains to be seen how well they'll pull it off. I am curious about whether the scientific realism will be considered as much as the dramatic realism.

I definitely like the idea of establishing their own atmosphere and feel for the series vice aping what's already out there. Not the the documentary style hasn't been used before (most notable recently was Saving Private Ryan), and it's even appeared in Sci-Fi on occasion (there was an episode or two in this style on B5), but I don't think it's been done on this scale before (though I could easily be wrong).

That idea is very interesting. I think it will be a challenge for the film makers so it looks good.
