ok this is the famous bround battle from DS9 where the feddies are holding a Dominion comm station now then Q wants to have some fun so he transp[osrt a group to replace the Federation team defending the outpost.Now then how would one of the following groups do during the fight.

1 2 ful;ly equiped platoons of modern US marines
2 2 fully equiped platoons of late war ww2 German infantry
3 2 squads of Colonial marines from Alien
4 2 Squads of Stormntroopers
5 Two squads of Rebel soldiers

OK which group would be able to do the most damage to the Jem H`dar

First, of all, its AR-558

1 2 ful;ly equiped platoons of modern US marines
2 2 fully equiped platoons of late war ww2 German infantry
3 2 squads of Colonial marines from Alien
4 2 Squads of Stormntroopers
5 Two squads of Rebel soldiers

The Jemmies get brutally slaughtered with any group that has any kind of sustained-fire weapon. That would be all of the above.

Modern Marine Corps

The JemHadar are cut down by hails of automatic small arms fire from assault rifles, LMGs and GPMGs, as well as a liberal helping of grenades.

late War WW2 German infantry

The JemHadar run into a wall of fire from the platoons pair of MG42s, not to mention a few Stg-44 assault rifles and the remaining 98K bolt-action rifles. Potato masher grenades wreak havoc.

Colonial Marines from Alien

The squads pair of 'Smart Guns' kill the JemHadar all by themselves. Rest of the marines watch, occasionally plinking a grenade into the bunch of screaming morons. Incinerators used to scorch the wounded.

Stormtroopers

T-21 light support blasters and E-11 automatic fire reduces the JemHadar to smoking corpses in seconds

Rebel Soldiers

Same as Stormtroopers, excpet different weapon design that is irrelevant.

Going by the most 'damage' indicator- it would have to be the SW side. No other weaponry on that list has the firepower.

Although quickest victory would go to the Colonial Marines IMO. Smart Guns mean it's over quick smart.

Since every group would wipe out the Jem'Hadar to the clone, I'd say they all do as well as is possibul.

All would dig fighting holes of one sort or another to avoid enemy fire and those pesky mines. All would send out security patrols to engage or atleast sight the enemy before they arrive at the defensive position. All would have a defense in depth. All have secondary weapons to include explosives and boobytraps to help secure the parimeter and create PDF's and channel the enemy into FPL's, not to mention cover any dead space in the fields of fire. And all employ support weaponary like machineguns or rapid fire support guns like the E-Web to lay down a highly accurate suppressive fire on the enemy ( and the way the Jem H'dar charge the Feds, well its a machinegunners dream ).
