That was fairly obvious in the way it was implied in the episode. But the obvious question is who's the last one. It's really between Baltar and Starbuck. . .that I can tell. Though if it is Baltar it'd be curious why he didn't react in the same way as the other four.phongn wrote:ROT13'ed Confirm-or-Deny:Vympel wrote:I liked the episode- it was MindFuck, but it was a good watch. I'm not convinced that Tory, Anders, Tigh and Tyrol are Cylons, and I think it'll be stupid if they are, but in any event, I really liked the way it ended with the zoomout and the zoom-in to Earth.

That would require me to have an idea of what ROT13 was in the first place.
Jesus, that was said plain as day by Moore in the interview I posted back on page 10, which I didn't even spoilerise. You could have at least shrunk it.

Meh, I've been ignoring this thread until I saw the episode specifically to avoid spoilers, so I didn't see the article. So if anyone else finds em, too bad.Spanky The Dolphin wrote:That would require me to have an idea of what ROT13 was in the first place.

Is it me, or does it seem that they end every season with the cylons going after them? I dont know about y'all, but my wife and I were definatley sitting on the edge of the seat when the music was playing and the four of them wound up in the same room and we were sitting there saying No F***ing way! Was taht a jimmy hendrix tune? I didnt catch enough of it.
BTW when I saw the ep where starbuck went poof, I said, she'll be back. Yep there she is! Its fun to watch, because some of it is predictable, and yet, just when you thought I knew it, something else happens.

I'm a man, but I can change, if I have to, I guess.

I don't like shrinking spoilers because it doesn't work if someone browses at a minimum font-size (I used to do it when I was mod of G&C). ROT13 is guaranteed safe, if only because nobody I know can read itSpanky The Dolphin wrote:Jesus, that was said plain as day by Moore in the interview I posted back on page 10, which I didn't even spoilerise. Something I thought of when the song was playing: does the fact that the four of them can understand the song mean that Colonialspeak = English, or would it just be instant translation by the Cylon head gadgets?

The whole status of language in nBSG is almost impossible to rectify or determine, so I'm betting that like in most sci-fi, it's just an issue that they'll totally dodge.
On a couple of different notes:
1. I can't imagine Cally's going to be happy hearing about Tyrol's status as a Cylon.
2. Anybody else get the impression that Tory was just sort of copy-catting what Tigh was doing when they returned to the bridge, perhaps simply out of a lack of knowing what else to do?

Well, I can't fault her. It's a huge thing to have dropped in your lap at a time like this. But Tigh was there, being brave in the face of it, doing what he had to do. Sometimes it's easier to be strong when you can spot someone else being strong.Spanky The Dolphin wrote:2. The characters were just humming the tune, not singing the lyrics.Thag wrote:Something I thought of when the song was playing: does the fact that the four of them can understand the song mean that Colonialspeak = English, or would it just be instant translation by the Cylon head gadgets?

I swear a few of them were quoting parts of lyrics from the song.RedImperator wrote:The characters were just humming the tune, not singing the lyrics.Thag wrote:Something I thought of when the song was playing: does the fact that the four of them can understand the song mean that Colonialspeak = English, or would it just be instant translation by the Cylon head gadgets?
Didn't Tigh, in particular, say "there must be some kind of way out of here"?

I wonder if the four of them haven't always been part of the five, instead being chosen for some kind of "download" or something that took place when the fleet-wide blackout happened. Something that will happen later, as they didn't have any sort of personality shift or anything once they identified themselves as "cylons". Maybe they were chosen as avatars of a sort for the Five?

Five hundred years ago, everybody knew the Earth was flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you knew that humans were alone on this planet. Imagine what you'll know...tomorrow."

http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/All_A ... Watchtower (NOTE: BSW's bandwidth has been grinding to fuck the past few days since the finale.)The song is not intended to indicate that the Colonials have picked up an Earth communication.[2] Series executive producer Ron D. Moore considers the song to be an invention created by a Colonial citizen in a curious parallel to what had or will develop on Earth. The series creators have intentionally avoided citing whether Battlestar Galactica occurs in the real-world Earth's past, present, or future.

Not only do the colonials seem to speak english but they use latin lettering including the big fat GALACTICA tag on the ship. Then there is the fact that their clock have 60 minute division, they wear ties, have cats etc. etc.
I wonder can there be any other logical conclusion other than Earth being the actual homeworld of human race.

Alternate universe in which humanity really did have extraterrestrial origins.Kane Starkiller wrote:I wonder can there be any other logical conclusion other than Earth being the actual homeworld of human race.
Either that, or Ron Moore eats his words, because he's said more than once that one of the key things he wanted to keep from the BSG1978 series was the idea that "life here began out there".
Should be interesting to see what happens, although I know there's a few guys on this here forum who would kick and scream and cry if Ron Moore went with the alternate universe route.
If Ron Moore is willing to suggest that the Colonials, by sheer coincidence, composed a song identical to one created on Earth, then the notion that the Colonials might also coincidentally use 60 minute hours and wear ties is not far behind.they use latin lettering including the big fat GALACTICA tag on the ship. Then there is the fact that their clock have 60 minute division, they wear ties, have cats etc. etc.

Guys the way things are looking now, I don't think we're ever going to get talking Centurions.
That makes me sad. If you asked me if there was one thing I thought the show was missing, it'd be that...

That's nothing. I called the "Saul the Cylon" bit back in the Temple.Sam Or I wrote:My big question is: Cally is a whore?
Seriously though, I think I called the Star-b-Kenobi back in the Maelstrom thread.
The best part of the episode, for me, was when Baltar realized his lawyers were abandoning him.

I found this to be an interesting end to the season. At several points throughout season three I felt like abandoning this show, but I think the last three episodes were good enough to restore my faith in this show for another season.
I think it would have been cooler to have some big 'splosions and dogfights though.
