its Kzinti, and thats a good one. that is pretty typical.

Hows this for anime aliens:

Identical human with varying sizes (Zentraedi come to mind)
Elvens
Felinoids that are basically humans that have claws and catlike ears and have a tail

And ofcourse all anime characters must have impossibly natural hair colors :)

And what about the NONArchetypal aliens? I can name one really bizzare species: Peersons Puppeteers.

Aliens that are intellegent, Often Telepathic, Incredably CUTE, smaller then us, and furry. They look like Teddy Bears, Cats, Dogs, anything that brings back warm childhood memories: Fuzzy Sapians(Fuzzy Sapians), Treecats(Honorverse), Mungi (Dirty Pair), Ein (Cowboy Bebop), Sirians (Firesign Theater: Everything you Know is wrong), & Lovecraft Universe Cats (The the rankings of the Lovecraft verse, Dreamlands cats are just below outer gods)
You forgot Cabbits(Tenchi Muyo!).

Not necessarily. The Kroot (Warhammer 40K) are more bird-like, for example.

When have Elf-like aliens been unique to anime?? The Eldar from Warhammer 40K were originally called Space Elves, and the Vulcans also resemble Tolkien's elves to some extent.

BTW, the other archetypes just seem to broad for me. While SGAs (Stereotypical Grey Aliens) usually have several unifying characteristics besides their appearance*, classifying "identical human with varying size" as an archetype just seems a bit sweeping. I don't intend to offend anyone...

*Good skills at biotechnology, a fondness for abducting random humans and travelling around in flying saucers - just to mention a few things SGAs have in common.

There's also the slimey ones with lots of tentacles and an inexplicable fondness for schoolgirls...

Hmm... aren't those tentacle-beasty things supposed to be demons rather than aliens??

Of course, some aliens are almost completely similar to demons (especially the Shadows from B5)...

They are well represented in both the demon and alien populations, even though there is more anime detailing the exploits of the demonic persuasion.

I'm adding the Hentai Tentacle Demons (TM) to the list as well.
