Tiberium Wars, as I'm sure most of you know, gives an alien race for the Command and Conquer games: The Scrin.
Alien invaders have been a popular subject in sci-fi and there have been a lot of them, so I was wondering how the Scrin stack up to other alien invaders. Keep in mind, I am only counting aliens that have invaded relatively modern Earth(by "relatively modern" I mean simply that the Earth in question has no significant spacecraft and cant reach other star systems).
If I dont know the name of the aliens, I will just list the setting they are from:
Scrin versus
The Martians(War of the Worlds, original novel)
The Martians(War of the Worlds, 1950s movie)
The Martians, I think(War of the Worlds, modern movie)
The Flying Saucers(Earth vs the Flying Saucers, '50s movie)
UFOs(X-Com videogames)
Vistors(V)
And any others yall can think of; I know I just named a small percentage of the ones out there.
Anyways, how do the Scrin do in these battles?
How do the Scrin(C&C3 Tiberium Wars)stack up to other al

Ti can tell you, on the WotW front, that the Book Martians go down hard. (WWI Earth could have taken them without excessive trouble) Anyone who can perform precision artilery spam more than 5-ish Km range, or with a well develloped air force should be quite capable of stopping them.
For the two major movies, we can't realy be sure since there's no upper limits seen for their shields. The 50's ones took a low-megaton nuclear weapon without any signs of damage, while the newer ones survived full missile barrages from attack helicopters and large volumes of tankfire. Unfortunately, since neither of these shieds are overpowered during their respective movies, we know nothing of their limits.
In short: Book Martians = Easy Scrin Victory. Movie Martians = Could go Either Way. 50's ones seem to have greater defensive power, '00s ones have greater mobility.

Scrin employ more combined arms. The Martians from WotW were building fliers, but never really got them off the ground in any large numbers. Flying shit is what the Scrin do best.
All of these are going to be Scrinbait because they're invaders, not real militaries. The first three martians are beating the shit out of worthless stupid Earth, and while we don't have firepower estimates, we know Nod and GDI are throwing around a lot more firepower than modern or 1950's militaries do, and could put the hurt on them a lot more.
The UFO's from X-Com are going to go down hard from a lack of serious military presence and probably not even air superiority. Same with the Flying Saucers and Visitors, which don't really use Tanks and crap.
ID4 aliens have a similar issue. It's all air and saucers and such--there's no serious land presence besides the martians, who have no serious air. Scrin depend so incredibly heavily on combined forces (as well as the existance of Tiberium, which is more aggressive than the martian red weed) that most of these one dimensional movie monster factions is going to get swamped. Scrin have shielded tripods too, ya' know.
That said, Scrin are pretty weak overall compared to a lot of serious foes. But they're a much more legitimate military than the faceless 'alien horde' you see in most movies.

A note: The aliens in WOTW2k5 are not Martians, but another alien species. The idea of them being from Mars was rejected since we've visited the planet since the last version of the movie and the original novel. But yes, both movies are useless in versus debates due to their ambiguous abilities other than firepower.
