Stargate: Tiberium Dawn

Post by Zor »

Its season Seven of Stargate SG1 around the time of death when something odd happens, a series of reletively small meteors begin to hit the Earth (the first one near the tiber river in Italy in an olive tree farm) and continues to happen for the next few days. These are nothing of consern to either side for the people of earth beyond a few people (SG1 and the SGC staff in general not being part of it for diplomatic reasons with Italy) as it happens and Anubis gets his ass handed to him right proper on time without any deviation from how it happened in the show up until shortly afterwards...

As talks between the Goa'uld and the Tau'ri in New Order are going on a scientist comes and anounces to the world information about this strange type of Crystal that absorbes minerals through the soil to grow and apears to be spreading across the planet and is begining to have adverse effects on the local eccology. The SGC begins reserch into it but a few days latter, a new orginization begins to make money on harvesting this new resource who a few months latter reveil themselves as the Brotherhood of NOD, led by a guy named Kane who (although the SGC has no knowlage of this) through relationships with Rouge NID know of SG1, the SGC and the stargate.

As a sidenote, there is something about this Tiberium that prevents Asgard Teleporters from beaming it around/making it go elsewere.

What happens?

The SGC is not an organization that can fight Nod in any way. They're what? a few R&D Labs, some connections to contractors, a couple of companies of trained soldiers, and a mountain complex.

Nod meanwhile, is a globe-spanning terrorist organization with popular support in many third world countries. The exact opponent of say.. a UN sponsored peacekeeping organization such as GDI, circa 1995?

It's basically C&C1, only the SGC can give GDI (and nod agents) more advanced technology from offworld sources.

Not having a good idea of what the vs. is, I can't help but think of the Monolith Monsters, which apparently, Tiberium is based on.

Oddessy + asgard sensors and transporters + big ass nuke

Beam it into the middle of Kane's temple and BOOM! Nod gets crippled with one swift stroke and goes into hiding.

Didn't you read? No transporters!

Honestly, I haven't really played C&C, so the politics of the situation aren't all that familiar to me.

It's the tiberium that can't be transported, not other things.
