JLA/JSA V the GE

Post by xiophen »

the Jla has learned that an evil tyrant from a nother galaxy will be launching an attack on earth with the sole intention of destroying the earth fortunatly for them they discovber that this mad tyrant is on a secret fortress in a istance galaxy circling a planet called endor....

Palpatine has discoverd a plant in a galaxy a few stone throws over that could cause problems for his empire. thus he has devised a plan to lure the worlds defenders to attack him in a trap arround the moon of endor. *ala ROTJ*

the JLA/ Jsa is the normal cast of characters and the GE has the forces seen in ROTJ who will win...

What standard?

What they currently have or what their entire roster is

Either way it's either the Ge versus some powerful people but will lose...or the GE vs some beings who can make Q look like a pansy bitch.

Why not ask another Culture vs GE fight?

Actually it was meant for a semi serious debate to see what the Ge can come up with to stop this team give a situation where the GE has to actually think beyond the big guns.
I would asume that the JLa consists of
Superman,
GL,
wonder woman
Batman
Manhunter Martian
Flash
Aquaman
Plastic man

we can throw out the jsa since Im not as familiar with their recent incarnate.

Superman...can be killed with enough force...I'd say(regardless of how much fan wanking) that the ISD can kill him unless Doomsday was putting out more powerful then several TT.

GL: Human and the the whole imgination bit is limited by his level of will powers...he has yet show except as Ion global powers.

Bat: not gonna say...yeah a few Stormies...but against millions.

Wonder Woman: Superman Lite

MM: Would last the longest unless they find out his Telepathic weakness to fire...which in turn kills him. He could concievably stay invisible for great deal of time.

Aquaman...not going to even bring it up.

Flash...sorry as fast as he goes and how much damage he could do...he cannot outrace the destruction of what he's on...lure him into a ship and self destruct it.

Plas...same deal.

All are resilient and make shotting them difficult but most are human and only a few show any true invulnerabilty.

The JSA only has any true gun are Sentinel and possibly Dr. Fate, along with Black Adam, Power Girl and Captain Marvel who would fall under Superman category.

Seriously if this is the Galactic Empire vs the JSA/JLA at their current rosters the JLA/JSA lose hard.

If this All that the JSA/JLA at their collective heights vs the GE...the GE loses more because then you are talking about beings in the JSA/JLA who can do things that Q would be kissing their asses to even begin to concieve of.

Well yoda could kill his physical form but in the end hed lose for the mere fact that nothing yoda can do will kill gandolf permenantly or keep him from coming back. The balrog forced gandolfs death because the two were on the same power level in the ME universe both were demi-god/angels thus the balrog was able to damage gandolf in the end

As for gandolfs resiliance we see him falling an to an unknown depth on a pit that was assumed to be bottomless pit that no one knew its true depths. several miles deep. the fought the entire way down then fought from the lake bottom to the mountain top IIRC the battle lasted pretty much the Remainder of the fellowships journey to Loiren. remember the BALROG is nothing but a Creature of fire. so it again becomes a question of how long it takes the Lightsabre to harm gandolf.

As for Yoda forc pushing yes maul, vader, and dooku do it but they are Sith lords same rules dont apply.

Ganolf restrained by his 3rd age restrictions will probably lose in a close fight but if hes completly unleashed in his full maiar form yoda wont last long.

doh wrong thread slaps him self stupid weell as far as it goes with the JLA the problem is I dont know if a ISD could A bring the fire power to bear to hurt supes in a single instance considering supes survived the insides of a sun.

Again the others will probably do this...

Bats, plastic man, flash and aqua man would probably hit the ground base on endor for the generators which givein their various abiliies they should be able to accomplish the mission
supes, wonder woman, MM GL would assault the GE DS directly. given that only fighters can really hit them......

Yeah, but only a few have even KT level durability...seriously.

Maybe Supes...and MM at his height(his mass asorbation would be a problem...given how far he can theoritically go)

Bats and the rest mnaybe be able to inflitrate some areas but given that finding the back entrance was pretty hard and that they would still have to face of literally a legion of troops, the odds are definitly more stacked against them, then not.

well the problem I see is really how effective the imperial weapons would be at hurting the various members.
agai JLA split into 2 teams...
Team one moon assault
Bats: Years of combat expeirence with Guerilla warfare and access to tech that would make the GE drool.

Aquaman has year of combat experince and durability and str to damage most anything the GE had on ender.

PlasticMan : again extreme durability and combat expeirence plus his ability to streatch to almost nothing to fit through ats gun port holes.

Flash: Faster the light speed. he would most likly thrash most of the storm troopers one the moon himself

wonder Woman: like yo said a less uber supes theirs nothing one ender that really can harm her and their is nothing she cant destroy.

Lets face it the Endor battle was an embarrassment for the stormtroopers. from the observed defenses in place around base they were highly unprepared for a jungle battle. these JLA members unleashed on the moon would would be like unleashing 5 hungery lions insidea large cage with hundreds of chained sheep.

The Deathstar Team:

Supes: survived the heart of the sun, near light speeds, pushes planets arround, does have mental resistances, and a slight problem with some magical attacks.

GL: ability to do anything he can imagine, granted he doesnt have the nastiness level that the previous holders of the ring had yet is slowly getting to that level. he can potentially challenge supes when he gains complete control of the ring and its power.

MM: super str and resistances, can phase through shields created by cosmic entities, can read any mind on earth from the moon and farther away.

this group has lots of advantages when fighting the various imperial vessels one most of the guns will have a hard time targeting them and the weapons they have that can target them would at best be questionable to be able to hurt them. I figure these three would ignor the SD and go straight for the DSII MM can phase through the DS II shields, supes and GL could probably punch through said shields.

this thread is fucking silly. Once you bring up Justice League vs. Galactic Empire you cannot expect a semi serious debate. Where did all these damn newbies come from looking for fucking Gundam and Superman debates. DO they even know what the site is actually about?
"If it's true that our species is alone in the universe, then I'd have to say that the universe aimed rather low and settled for very little."
-George Carlin (1937-2008)

"Have some of you Americans actually seen Football? Of course there are 0-0 draws but that doesn't make them any less exciting."
-Dr Roberts, with quite possibly the dumbest thing ever said in 10 years of SDNet.

Debating the various universes and characters and how they would match up against others universes and characters. Granted this senerio is a little silly but seriously what would the GE do? if you just debate the same topics setup in the same manner again it gets boringing and retreded try new things even an occasional silly debate like this although it is silly it can also cause a new train of thought yes blah blah can throw out multiple gigiton teraton damage against something what happens when that blah blah gets in a position wehre its at a disadvantage how will it strive to gain and even foot or win.

Okay...no presumptions.

First thing is both sides know what they are up against or this thing is pointless. Wong long agao had a nice set of rules might as well use the most common thought...and no the GE are not morons and the JLA does not character shields.

Also Bats tech is not something the Empire would drool at...hell most comic book tech is on par with general sci-fi. And Supes cannot move planets...he moved the moon with extraordinary effort...and the ISD puts out much more energy then the sun.

The ground party...knowing that the Flash is there...prepare a suicide trap for the generator. You lose the shield but who cares...you've killed them, and Bats is not infalliable, has fallen for such a trick and Wally is not fast enough to see an explosion in motion, he has to know it's going to happen to outrun it...problem with being human. Or they shoot the planet with the DS.

For the space team. Superman(yes Superman), WW, and GL are taken down by firepower...Superman has never resisted GT worth of power(not unless Doomsday, and Darkseid pump this out per second)...and you saying that a GT gun would never hit them? Please no instant light movement for Superman because yes, he's demonstrated it...but does he use it 24-7? Even he's said it drains him Plus if it come to anti personal effect...the KT guns on a TIE and Spacetroopers would actually work. GE casualties would be immense but they would kill those three.

MM would need literally to be exposed to something akin to Vader or the Emperor screwing with his head, enter an atmospheric arena...and put aflame. He's the most difficult since he has most Superman's powers but can go invisible and use telepathic powers as well.

The imps did not prepare said trap for the bunker in the movie itself, so I can hardly see them doing so here. You're presuming the imps did something they did not in the movie, even when they should have.

Superman can move at light speed, and in the comics he has been receiving power boosts recently, and has shown a greater willingness to utilize all his abilities in a fight.

GL contained an exploding nova(or something like that) in the DC One Million storyline. I dunno about you, but that's very impressive. Sure, we can say his power levels fluctuate, but if taken to his theoretical limits, GL can mop the floor with an ISD, or even a DS.

MM can also pull the information the team needs from any imperial trooper or commander, or even from the commander of the Executor. But not from the Emperor or Vader, obviously.

That alone gives them quite an edge.

But you're assuming because they needed such a trap for Skywalker.

If this was aproposed trap to kill, why are you say they WOULDN'T?

Because the movie motivation and this scenario's motivation are completely different.

GL can contain a Nova but nearly killed him and under the circumstances he has never been able to repeat that feat.

Also MM pulling information but Vader or the Emperor(whom have knowledge of their abilities...something that if you want to not include fine...then we'll just have the Emperor brain wipe the enite JLA sans MM, because they have no idea of the other side ability) are just standing there dumb founded. MM needs pretty much a clean link...and with two powerful telepaths also engaging him, I doubt he'll be able just to pull this out.

Also Superman does not out run light(where the hell does this thought come out of given that he cannot beat Flash, nor has been ever shown to accomplish this...near c I grant...c...no)

All you've said is this what the JLA would do while facing a large fleet all intent upon killing them with no thoughts of capture.

You still have five poor JLAer's earth bound and able to be killed by the DS2(because why need them?...for Skywalker it was needed, but for the Emperor in this situation...sorry they are dead)

Thus you WW to die by TIE...maybe Superman surviving but killed by sheer power.

The problem is what are their goals?

Because as it stand the JLA is facing pretty much Invasion(miniseries) but against a foe ten times as nasty. Sorry the JLA could take down some but to defeat all that you're stacking against them with no Skywalker variable nor any thought at needing to spare any of them, they will die.

Actually, the JLA's shown some high power recently.

In an issue I just got through reading today(end of the Atlantis Arc), Wonder Woman, Superman, and J'onn are using Diana's lasso to try to keep the Earth in it's orbit.

And they almost suceed... Fortunately, Green Lantern steps in and say's "Let me handle this" and moves the planet back into position effortlessly.

The JLA isn't landlocked. Both Superman and Green Lantern are capable of Interplanetary travel, and Kyle can carry the entire group with him.

While making them a target...

The problem is that they are up against a fleet of warships whom many have enough power to scour the earth clean of life, and yes I grant they have the ability to take some down, but the entire Empire fleet over Endor, and DS(without any Skywalker factor)?!

Sorry they are pretty much dead meat.

And moving the planet is not much compared to what was brought up(GL containing a nova...etc)

Please, massive fleets is all in a day's work for a Green Lantern.

So Let's review:

Current JLA Membership:

Active --

Superman
Batman
Wonder Woman
The Flash
Green Lantern
Martian Manhunter
Plastic Man

Additional Active/Reserve members
Oracle
Nightwing
The Atom
Zatanna
Faith
Major Disaster
Green Arrow

Allies/Reserves --
Steel
Big Barda
Orion
Zaruiel

Young Justice --
Robin
Superboy
Impulse
Wonder Girl
Secret
Lobo
Arrowette

The JSA includes figures such as the original Flash and Green Lantern, as well as Magic powerhouses like Dr. Fate.

The first problem is targeting. Even TIE's would have problems trying to hit a man-sized target, much less the ISD guns needed to hurt these people. Factor in the Speed Blitz, and hitting them is not really that easy.

Things get worse when Dr. Fate and Oracle start dropping people inside the Death Star.

Yes...let's include the JSA(even though after noting that HE DOESN'T even know the entire roster...and eventually it was about the JLA vs the Empire.)

Do you just hijack, make bold statements and think people give up...okay.

Dr. Fate(current...Hector Hall) Hs about 1/10 of the ability of the former...is vulnerable to attacks of a physical nature, and only know rudimentry spells and techniques and can be CUT off by telepathic attacks, from NABU.

Also YOU are introducing element so the JSA/JLA can win...fuck why don't follow your logic...say the Empire is using a Sun Crusher, about 20 World Devastors...hmmm 5 Soverigns, a couple Ecplise class carriers, and just for the helluva of it replace all the ground troops with oh let's just say Dark troopers.

The argument eventually became the JLA vs the GE at Endor, because he was familar with it...and at no point did anyone except you dumbass alter it so that suddenly is the JLA entire roster( a good part you missed, but who cares) and JSA(whom he didn't all the member thus he took them OUT) and YJ(who were NEVER in this debate to begin with fucktwit)

So planning to carry on this extrapolation till we have The entire EU Empire extrapolated to billions vs Jim Corrigan Spectre?!

In that case, why not revert all heroes to their Pre-Crisis forms?

I didn't include them all in the battle. But thats a good portion of the names given on the site I checked. That's why I seperatd them into the different groups. Particularly since, as of the last issue, the roster was rather mixed up a bit(until the next issue, anyway).
