Iron Empires is so sweet. Burning Empires would be the game based off it. As for the Dune thing, eehh, aside from religion having power, not so much. At least two of the Empires are at each others throat over direct ascension of the Haanrilke throne, another is a theocracy, one is comprised of a series of various high tech worlds and the setting pretty much is on the backwards slide aside from said confederation. The big threat though is from the Valen, which are actually human beings that have been body-jacked by roundworms and really only serve to keep themselves alive and get new hosts for their offspring. I think I did a verse between Iron equipped troops and space marines a while back when I first found Faith's Iron. If I had the time and an Internet connection, I'd love to run a BE game.
