I think a B-1/TU-160 might be a bit too big...too bad the B-58's not around anymore...what about a Tu-22M Backfire?

Howabout this? We bring in tidal wave and have Megatron's altmode a Walther P38 scaled for Tidal Wave's hands?
Seriously though, i will join the "don't bring Megs back as Galvatron until TF-3" croud.

If by "Heart and Magic of the first film" he meant, "Shove so much filler into the sequel that all but the most die-hard Transfans will be bored out of their minds," I hope he fails.VF5SS wrote:Apparently the DVD commentary with Bay says he wants to recapture the "Heart and Magic" of the first film. Now word yet on what Don Murphy wants.

Those gun nuts do not understand the meaning of "overkill," and will simply use weapon after weapon of mass destruction (WMD) until the monster is dead, or until they run out of weapons.
They have more WMD than there are monsters for us to fight. (More insanity here.)

I've gotten visions of a Tu-160 flying in low at Mach 2 and transforming while landing, Starscream-in-the-first-movie-style (cars thrown everywhere, except replace cars with = EVERYTHING, including smaller Transformers), several times in my dreams
Ahhhh ... that's the stuff.

Yeah, and having the wings partially folded on the back and the engine pods as a jetpack mode, sort've like some transforming Gundam designs.Vympel wrote:I've gotten visions of a Tu-160 flying in low at Mach 2 and transforming while landing, Starscream-in-the-first-movie-style (cars thrown everywhere, except replace cars with = EVERYTHING, including smaller Transformers), several times in my dreams

Then you see a Blackjack do a back-flip transformation with the thrust from the engines blowing everything not heavier than an MBT away.

That would be insane. Not quite as exciting as when I discovered that Peter Cullen was doing Optimus, but close.neoolong wrote:And if they do have Galvatron, do you think they'll get Leonard Nimoy to do the voice?

I don't think there is any, because that never really got past the idea stage. Michael Bay came up with the idea of an aircraft carrier transformer, but it was immediately dismissed as being way too complicated and expensive for the first film.
I believe in a sign of Zeta.

With the huge success of the first one, I'm sure Bay will be able to cram all the Transformer concepts and special effects that he wants into the second one like the Nemesis and explosions and Constructicons and explosions and big explosions. I just hope that the second one doesn't finally go off the deep end and into special effects stupidity-land, which even the first one seemed ready to do at a moments notice (but didn't, thank god).

I would not bring MEgatron back for TF2, because I think part of the plot for TF2 should be Soundwave doing everything he can to restore MEgatron, while Starscream starts doing his own thing and the Autobots struggle to deal with two factions of decepticons running amok.
If and when MEgatron returns I am sure it will be as some experimental/prototype Vehicle that does not exist nor would it be practical to actually build (such as a modern tank bigger than the Maus, or two Maus put together, with heat seeking missles and tons of armor.). Also, fix the ugly robot turd face that they gave him for future films.

Spanky, do you have the 2-disc version of the Transformers movie? I thought a couple of the concept art pieces on the extras disc pretty clearly showed an aircraft carrier transforming.Spanky The Dolphin wrote:I don't think there is any, because that never really got past the idea stage. I saw the montages, and the first thing I thought was, "Why don't they bring back Trypticon instead of ripping off the Scarab from 'Halo'?Clone Sergeant wrote:The montage shows a multi-legged monstrosity coming out of the water to attack an aircraft carrier.
