Eh, I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt and assume that once upon a time Cain was a capable commander.. at least before she went fruit-loops.Kane Starkiller wrote:Just watched it and, mother of god, but Cain is one stupid shit. There is not one redeeming quality about the character. And I'm not talking about "quality" as in moral quality but as in finding anything interesting about the character. She's just a stupid pompous piece of shit.
If, at least, she was a good tactician or something her crew might have an excuse to follow her around like doggies but as it stands this film might as well be called: "Pegasus:the ship of spineless idiots"
P.S. Razor? She calls herself razor?? More like a brick wall.
Well, she did win that battle over the communications array despite having no business doing so. Of course, she lost half her crew (including her XO) but she basically took on a Cylon staging area with one ship and won, and as a bonus exposed a Cylon infiltrator on board.

This is the guy they want to use to win over "young people?" Are they completely daft? I'd rather vote for a pile of shit than a Jesus freak social regressive.
Here's hoping that his political career goes down in flames and, hopefully, a hilarious gay sex scandal. -Tanasinn

My blog, please check out and comment! http://decepticylon.blogspot.comWell, also, razor is an appropriate title. Razors are not strong blades--they snap under pressure, they chip when they strike a more durable, more dull blade, and a blade that has been hammered to a razor's edge has been put under too much heat and pressure for too long to probably be much of a usable battlefield weapon.
Cain really was a showpiece commander who pushed and terrified and sometimes inspired by her sharpness and harshness, but as we saw, lacked all the subtlety required of an actual sword. I'd say she was a Razor, but the last thing the colonial fleet needs is a bunch of brittle blades.

After watching the extended version on DVD last night, I have to ask:
What in the hell prevented young Helena from going back and grabbing her little sister after she tripped? She certainly had more than enough time to keep stopping as she made a run for it and yell at Lucy to move.
I mean really, what the hell?

I believe in a sign of Zeta.

I have to point out, that Cain did have her " Saul Tigh" to help keep her in line. Unfortunately, she shot him in the face. Sure, Tigh and Adama's friendship was one that lasted for 40 years, but it is apparent that Jurgen had a solid friendship with Cain as well. Cain might have had done the right thing "tactically" at the time according to Adama, but you also have to consider what the consequences of what your actions may be in the immediate and far future more carefully given that you no longer have a solid infrastructure to replace loses and materials. Unless her plan was to go back to the civilian fleet after every suicidal attack, and start taking ships apart one by one.
