Character Shields vs. John Woo & Sam Pechenpah directing

Ok, what rediculously over done CS could survive the Creshendo of death that typically ends a John Woo action movie or Sam Pechinpah Western?

Yeah, this is the set up where EVERYBODY DIES, and the poor innocent non-coms show up, and look around at the terriable carnage that has just unfolded?

Homer Simpson: He has already shown that he can survive anything, including a mob shoot out, and a gang war on his front lawn.

A kid: The kid is usually bratty and annoying but grows due to the loss of the hero. Also, will survive.

A good dog: If you kill a good dog in a movie, you will lose your audience. As such, it pretty much never happens.

John Woo has some REALLY rediculous character shields in some of his movies. In Hard Boiled one of the heroes gets shot in the back at close range with a shotgun and continues to fight with no real loss of ability.

The rule is that the heroes in John Woo movies cannot die unless it is in a really really cool and uber-badass way.

In that case, even Conan would die in that scenario: IE: He would go through some insane shit, kill the badguy and gain hsi victory...THAN colapse and die from all of his wounds.

Or. Some kid would cap him and he would die, given his inverse character sheild.

I don't think so. Chances are he would go through some insane shit, kill everybody, gain victory, then fall through the floor into a harem full of thousands of beautiful women.

And the kid would get hit by a car...or something....

It only applies when the hero actually dies. It is what must occur in that death. Conan just wouldn't die.
