Hoth Ion Cannon only disable ships. Tollan Ion Cannon blasted said ship (although smaller than an ISD) to little pieces in one shot....

If you somehow get them to be able to fired at each other, Tollan Ion Cannon wins.

The Hoth Ion cannon is described as being destructive in teh canon novelization for TESB. Canon wins over official.

Rouge Squadron had a frigate broken up and destroyed by ground based ion cannon fire, and a couple shuttles where exploded by single hits. Ion cannons disable electronics, but they also cause considerable physical damage. This is well established and has been gone over many times before here.

In Pretense, Tollan fire destroyed 2 Goa'uld motherships in 2 volleys, with 1 volley hitting each mothership and passing through their shields.

How much punishment can the Goa'uld take?

In the EGW&T the planetary turbolasers are rated as being 4x the output of a planetary ion cannon (like the one at Hoth). If we conservatively assumed that the Planetary TL is equal to an Accalmator's TL (roughly 200 GT) this means an ion cannon has 50 GT worth of punch to it. And this is LOW end. It could easily be an order of magnitude or more greater.

I don't remember that. I remember the Borleias situation with the ion cannons, and ion cannon fire apparently destroyed an X-wing, but nothing about destroying shuttles or frigates (there was one ground troop transport that was knocked out and it crashed into the Borleias shields, but that was all.)

Are you talking about something else?

Goa'uld Ha'tak sheild capacitance is over 9000 GT, as they can sit on a blue giant's photosphere without difficulty for hours.

Which is funny considering Barrel Dementions(Plantary Ion cannons are roughly a quater of an ISD just based on size alone, HELL the Barrel is Bigger than the Bridge Neck section!)

But no I don't think we should be that convserative

Thats like cacluation Iowa 16" Gun firepower based on a .22 Semi-Automatic Handgun...
