Kosh and Talia Winters

Post by His Divine Shadow »

In that episode where Kosh hired that vicar, what did he record, do we ever find out what it was?

Short answer:

He recorded Talia

Plot reason for this: JMS originally intended for this recording of Talia to be used on Lyta in order to give Lyta her doomsday powers. However, he opted just to explain as Vorlon enhancement since that fit in with the whole "telepaths as weapons" plot.

Though it could also be tied in some obscure way to her dormant personality....his looking into her.....what she really was doing with the Psi Core etc....

Though thats just speculation as to an answer.

Possible option:

Kosh saw the hidden personality, and decided he didn't like it. So he recorded:

Reflection: A copy of her mind at that moment.

Surprise: A weapon to knock the other personality back for a moment

Terror: The killing blow against the alternate personality.

So after te alternate personality is destroyed, Kosh reloads the original Talia. Sort of restoring from backup. <G>

Which race created the Vikkers? They look humanoid, but they seem to be extremely advanced by EA standards.

It was one of her most unpleasant memories. She had once scanned the mind of a serial killer, and what she had found there terrified her. Kosh wanted to have that image to use against her if she became a problem. Alas, Andrea Thompson left the show, so that little incident proved pretty irrelevant in the long run.

He recorded reflection, surprise, and terror so that they could use those during the Shadow War.

Viccers appear to be from any of several races. To me, they just seemed like cyborgs.

You didn't notice that the first time around???
You can still see her on one of the news channels. She is a regular anchor.

I thought she'd already quit CNN, too.

I will never understand why people think she's so hot. She's got a hatchet face so she looks bitchy, and she was a bitch in B5. Moreover, she must have developed quite an ego in real life too, judging from her infamous "unless you've been living in a cave" debut on network news. None of this makes her more appealing IMHO.

She's OK, but not much more than that. Andrea Thompson doesn't really hold a candle to Claudia Christian and isn't anywhere near as cute as Kim Delaney. The cigarette voice is a bit of a turnoff as well.

I have no idea what a hatchet face is, but I thought she looked hot nevertheless.

I was never thrilled by her looks, and her acting was downright bad, at least in B5.

Even Garibaldi agreed with them. He wanted to show her his favorite thing in the universe, and followed her around for the heck of it. She even had to hit him in the solar plexus when they were on a lift together.
