So has anyone read this yet? Worth to pick up?

I have. I've noted a few things about it elsewhere. In short, it's very good, almost as good as Dark Apostle. It features Tyranids, Stealers, Dark Eldar and some imperial PDF troops as opponents for its titular Word Bearers, and they're all done very well.

Great book, I love Anthony Reynolds stuff, even the computer game novels, he manages to keep everyone pretty badass, without needlessly nerfing stuff so his guys look good (Graham Mcneil alert!) and I like little bits of humour like the possessed Magos altering his definition of Lorgar.

A thousand years to build a battleship made me choke a little though.

The only Graham Mcneil piece I've read is Storm of Iron, was the nerfing aspect you mentioned present there?
Guardsman Hawke, Brother-Captain Eshara and the two top IG officers are the only antagonists (in the sense that the Iron Warriors are the protagonists) I really remember at all, and they seemed pretty competent individually.
IIRC the Imperium side made some horrific strategic and tactical blunders and there was this whole AdMech fucking its own side over deal, but I can't recall the specifics..
On that note, I'm curious.. Are there any books were the AdMech doesn't come off like a bunch of asshats?

Anyway, considering the quality of the 40k fiction you've put out, your opinion pretty much cinches it, Rabbit; I'll be picking up this duology.

At the end, (SPOILERS) did the Nexus Arrangement, aside from being able to block out the warp from an area, wake up the Undying One? So now Marduk has a pissed-off necron lord chasing him in a giant tombship? (/SPOILERS)
