The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy has this to say about Daleks: Stay away. Really, stay away. No honestly, just stay away, they're horrible.

Well... Arthur Dent is Canon Who-verse, I don't see why the Hitchhitcher's Guide wouldn't have an entry on Daleks.
