...and it appears we have a tie.

In this case, we're going to have a run-off. Because, damn it, draws are unAmerican! So you have a week from today to cast your vote either for District 9 or Children of Men. Same rules as before apply.
'Ai! ai!' wailed Legolas. 'A Balrog! A Balrog is come!'
Gimli stared with wide eyes. 'Durin's Bane!' he cried, and letting his axe fall he covered his face.
'A Balrog,' muttered Gandalf. 'Now I understand.' He faltered and leaned heavily on his staff. 'What an evil fortune! And I am already weary.'

Well, if I have to vote between one of those two, definitely D9.

Children of Men. Not that D9 was a bad movie, it was excellent, it just wasn't as expertly crafted as Children of Men was.

This is the guy they want to use to win over "young people?" Are they completely daft? I'd rather vote for a pile of shit than a Jesus freak social regressive.
Here's hoping that his political career goes down in flames and, hopefully, a hilarious gay sex scandal.

I have to go with Children of Men. I love the hell out of District 9 but Children of Men was perfect.

Fuck it, I change my vote to Children of Men. I had a nightmare about Children of Men, therefore it wins.

And so Children of Men eeks out a win as the best SciFi movie of the last decade. Congrats to everyone who picked the winner, clearly your tastes are better than everyone else.
