Gav Thorpe had been in the GW games design team for a good while when he wrote the Last Chancers books. It's probably safe to assume that he knew all the game rules. Especially because he's got a "special thanks" credit in the 3rd edition Codex: Tau.Ryan Thunder wrote:Yeah, but when they're all you have to go on and you write something completely different, that makes you a moron.Imperial Overlord wrote:Taking table top rules as the literal truth of the setting is silly.
Like that guy.
How much would the Tau gain by using indirect fire weapons?

"So you want to live on a planet?"
"No. I think I'd find it a bit small and wierd."
"Aren't they dangerous? Don't they get hit by stuff?"

Re: How much would the Tau gain by using indirect fire weapo
On topic;
I'm going to have to go back and reread it, but IIRC the Tau did have indirect fire support assets that they used in 'Courage and Honor', and quite extensively too in certain engagements. I'll investigate and post any relevant quotes later. I don't think there were any new platforms, just use of existing platforms in a different way.
