The counter-argument, though, is still whether or not the other factions were in on the original Icarus attack or if Kiva was operating independently.
Since the Alliance became decentralised in the wake of Netan's demise it's more likely than not that Kiva's outfit was separate from the rest. The existence of clans seems to support this. Only one clan is planning to attack Earth, after all (the one based on Ginn and Simeon's homeworld).

Exterminate the LA
Utterly
Just like the Goa'uld

Hey, that's life in the big galaxy :P
It's certainly possible that they could decimate any Alliance controlled world with the level of firepower at their disposal. It's also possible that the Alliance could retaliate with more Ha'taks than Homeworld Command could handle (or just send cloaked Tel'taks on bombing runs). I'm going to have to concede that Alliance is in fact a major threat and not just a bunch of "street gangs with spaceships" (as Rush once put it).

So with that in mind, if you were in charge of Homeworld Command/SGC operations how would you combat the Lucian Alliance? I feel that gradual disclosure followed by full military mobilisation is the best bet for victory. But I'd still like to hear what anyone else has to say about the matter.

Then they had to have gotten it from elsewhere...
Spoiler
...and Langara is looking more and more a good candidate.

I again have to give the writers credits for making the Lucians into a credible threat. And gradual disclosure seems the way to go.

Trying to avoid spoilers, but is anyone else running into the same problem I am with Hulu? Is Scifi now not releasing the episodes to them? I've been watching them at work a couple of days later and the new one is now not available. I've been trying to be as supportive of the show as I could, but I just don't watch TV at normal conventional hours and watching things on Hulu and Netflix is how I do things. Anyone else as profoundly annoyed as I am?

I haven't watched any of Season 2.5 on Hulu. I've been biting the bullet and staying up to catch it. It's less a convenience and a more a matter of pride as a longtime SG fan -- especially since this will probably the last run of Stargate on TV.

Hulu is now on a 30 F*cking day delay for SG:U.

Fuckers.

Anyway, it won't matter. The Season 2 DVD will be out on June 6th as it is.

It wouldn't really bother me if they hadn't done it mid-fucking season.

Burak Gazan wrote:Thanks, did not see Continuum.

It's as good an explanation as any, but still wish there was more current info. And probably not enough episodes left to go into things :P Ah well
I think that had SGU continued, this would have been a plausible opportunity to bring Teal'c in. As it stands, it's just the Tau'ri dealing primarily with the Lucians.
