Ah, but see that's exactly why it's such a fiendish deception and why we have to be eradicated ASAP. Since there's also no Warp in our universe doesn't that mean we'd register for them as soulless?
People at birth are naturally good. Their natures are similar, but their habits make them different from each other.

I belive that your thinking of The Elder Things, the squid people who created the shoggoth slaves, from mountin of madness. Cthulhu him self is an Old One, he has only been shown "Alive" in lovecrafts writing ,as far as I know, only once; so we can't truly know the full exstent of his powers.Bakustra wrote:What makes either of you two clowns think that any other aspects of 40k would be transferred over? I mean, if we can do that, then for the Mythos, well, it's time to see what the price scale is for convincing Nyarlahotep to intervene on the behalf of humanity, or the Mi-Go, or the Great Race of Yith, or the other human-interacting entities of the Mythos which could be convinced to act. Or what would be necessary to allow humanity to migrate in large numbers to the Dreamlands.
For that matter, Mythos creatures may not be as intimidating- the Old Ones were defeated by the starspawn of Cthulhu and forced to retreat to Antarctica, but they also lost a war to the Mi-go, who are capable of being defeated by human weaponry. Cthulhu himself was partially vulnerable to damage from ordinary materials, though he would regenerate it. His Starspawn may be able to be killed or at least hurt by human forces, and Cthulhu forcibly KO'd as well. Cthulhu in any case doesn't seem to have pals beyond his children and servants- the other Great Old Ones don't appear to be connected to Cthulhu beyond a general characterization, and died/became inactive at very different times.

The Elder Things (god I love those guys; also now I have to read Witch House, as wikipedia suggests they feature) are also called Old Ones on occasion. It's a rather ambiguous term.

Don't get your hopes too high- they only make brief, though show-stealing, appearances. It is interesting because it follows the more mechanistic trend of "At the Mountains of Madness" in dealing with the universe and it features Christian beliefs being somewhat effective against the strange and unusual. But enjoy.NecronLord wrote:The Elder Things (god I love those guys; also now I have to read Witch House, as wikipedia suggests they feature) are also called Old Ones on occasion. I mean, how often am I to enter a game of riddles with the author, where they challenge me with some strange and confusing and distracting device, and I'm supposed to unravel it and go "I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE" and take great personal satisfaction and pride in our mutual cleverness?
