The original Mobile Suit Gundam Trilogy is now on youtube thanks to the Gundam.info Gundam portal site. Yes these are legit. If you've never seen anything from Gundam and are confused on where to start, there's really no better place than these movies. Sure the animation may seem dated, but the story still holds up. The first movie is mostly animation from the TV series with the second movie introducing more unique scenes and the third movie is almost entirely new animation. These are subtitle only because the only dub for the movies was on VHS and was hilariously terrible and really inaccurate.

Mind you, all of the Gundam movies I can think of which made it to the cinemas...were pretty much not worth paying to go to the cinema to see it.

Heck, I was in Japan on holidays when the 00 movie was on. For the hell of it, I coughed up and went, just so that I could say, "Yeah, I've been to a cinema in Japan to see a Gundam movie". It was pretty ordinary.

So yes, I support more Gundam on Youtube. Zeta was a trilogy, IIRC Turn A was also turned into a trilogy, wasn't it?

I never finished the original series since it was you know, canceled on Cartoon Network but I owned the VHS tapes for the movies long before the show was ever broadcast. I think the original movies still hold up and are the definitive OYW saga. At least until The Origin anime comes out :v

CCA and F-91 are alright.

I only skimmed the 00 movie. Nothing about it seemed appealing.

Turn A was a duology. I watched the series so I didn't feel the need to see the movies although I saw screen caps from the movie BDs. Damn that show still looks gorgeous.
