Not terribly unintelligent, genre-savvy, with the good sense to listen to good advice. Forcefields, integral weapons, and a convenient way of disarming opponents. You know, Voyager ruined the Borg, and the Stargate Replicators have been done, but here is a mechanical menace I think can go the distance.
