New Tron Uprising trailer

2012 is turning out to be a good year for western TV animation.

This actually looks kind of interesting I might check it out, if only to determine if its worth watching.

Out of the two trailers the second definitely raised my anticipation but I still have some doubts. The animation is somewhat choppy which is rather jarring to me considering how smooth it was in the teaser. Perhaps it's merely like that for the trailer. Perhaps not. I can't say I'm particularly enamoured of the character models either. Maybe these issues will fade with time.

The look of the series is clearly drawn from Legacy but there are some elements from the first. Clu's troops have roughly the same appearance as the MCP's guards. Shouldn't Clu be using the Black Guards given that this apparently takes place after the coup? It's possible that they aren't in widespread use at this point in time like they were in Legacy.

Lance Henriksen has been doing a great deal of voice acting lately. It's interesting that in Legend of Korra he's Amon's lieutenant and in this he's in a similar role (presumably as Clu's second in command).

I'll definitely be checking this one out, regardless.
