In this episode, Nora leads Miles and Charlie to a rebel encampment near St. Anne, Illinois. the Monroe Militia surrounds them.

After the Monroe officer is captured, he reveals that Miles had been the commanding general of the Monroe Militia and a founding father of the Monroe Republic,. A flashbacks reveals that Mikles first met the officer the year of the Blackout, when he and Monroe rescued him from robbers.

Aaron and Maggie go to Grace's house, which is empty. Someone had destroyed her computer. Aaron sees a glowing pendant, and suddenly a portable music device starts playing. Maggie sees the pictures of her kids on her iPhone.
