That seems like it could be a fun movie.

Tom Cruise has made a bit of a comeback recently. I've enjoyed his last few movies. They haven't been brilliant or groundbreaking, but they've been very enjoyable.

Looks pretty good but I'm getting a Outer Limits vibe from it.

You know, like there's going to be some sort of twist about any number of things. Who's human, who's not. Who really won the war etc...

Imma sound stupid for that, but I checked IMDb and there's nothing so I'll ask: does it have anything to do with a series a la Serenity-Firefly?

Also, the brief synopsis they've posted there could have easily been about Prometheus...

Tom Cruise plays a leading role in it, and it's a sci-fi flick with futuristic vehicles. It just reminded me of Minority Report, but not in terms of plot. That's all.

I get the vague Minority Report vibe in the sense that it's Tom Cruise in a recent scifi movie I'll probably be disappointed with.

But more than that, it feels like a second stab at Matrix with Cruise instead of Keanu and Freeman instead of Fishburne. White dude is lied to by authorities, black dude shows him the truth, mass pew-pew follows. I welcome the possibility of enjoying it but I do not expect to.

Throw in a volleyball game with homoerotic subtext and I can see it.

Frankly, that's a film I'm surprised they've never done more with, not even with direct-to-video sequels featuring none of the original actors.

This is based on the comic book, right? I mean, it has the same name and seems to have a superficially similar plot. Mostly I'm thinking the drone recovery job isn't something you hear a lot.
