Nothing. If you don't want to see it, don't watch.

I'ld just make sure it is well and clearly labeled. That way people who want to avoid sex, violence, or insanely improbable military equipment can choose not to watch it. Why should I force my opinions on someone else?

If I had to censor something, it'd be the violence. Violence is much more likely to adversely affect children than a pair of tits.

Neither. Censorship is one of the worst behaviors supported by modern society. If that's what the artist intended his vision to be, either don't watch it. or don't mess with it.

It doesn't anymore.

J-List has this to say on the subject:
A long time ago, in the wild, wooly days of Japanese adult magazines and photobooks, it was illegal to show pubic hair without some kind of element hiding it -- a mosaic, or a silk scarf, the girl's hand, anything. Then, in 1994, a magazine called Tenmei started boldly publishing nude model photography with full pubic hair visible -- "hair nude" -- insisting that such photography was art and the government had no business censoring photography. When no action was taken against them, all magazines and (still) photography publishers started doing the same thing. The law has never been changed, although it has been "de facto" repealed.

If people can`t stand the sight of sex, nudity or violence in anime, they should not watch any anime at all.

Also I would make sure that character's whose names are cleaver plays on words would be properly translated.

thus SM is to be known as "Bunny" not as "Serena"

City Hunter will be called "Wolf" or "Dog" from time to time.

etc.

Ugh, fucking no.

Just keep them in Japanese, so you don't have thousands of anime fans wanting to hang you.

No offence, Bear, but that's just abso-fucking-lutely retardedly stupid and pointless...

No I was refering to the English translations, part of the joke involving City Hunter is that he IS a wolf/dog in relation to women. Ryo means wolf.

Joe sounds like Ryo but you loose a lot in translation that way.

When it doesn't work with the story, you oversexed fiend. Try thinking with your brain instead of your God damn penis.

And Bear, what do you mean by "English translation"? The subtitles or the dub script?

Either way, both are equally retarded and insulting to anime fans.

Isn't it odd how Disney can make animated G-rated films for kids about drinking and death, but TV can't even air a TV-Y7 show featuring either?

Nudity simply for the sake of nudity is stupid when you're talking about a serious or even semi-serious show. In general anime nudity isn't the kind of pointless stuff nudity for nudity's sake that's so common here.

Of course you've proven you have no appreciation for art in movies so I'm not suprised you let your dick do the thinking for you.

What, you don't know just how often death and alchohol use was mentioned untill recent years? The Lion King, Bambi, and The Fox and the Hound each feature a major death (the later has quite a lot of violence, along with the ending of Beauty and the Beast, if my memory serves properly), while many films from Dumbo to Sleeping Beauty have major scenes of characters totally plastered.

And yet despite being marketed and rated for a higher age group, Anime on TV has consistently omitted even references to gambling, nudity, alchohol, or death, because obviously those sorts of things don't happen in Western civilization.

Yeah, Dumbo had a whole segment devoted to the characters getting drunk.

I would censor obvious pedophillia. Lolicon pandering is all too frequent in anime. The law needs to make examples of some of these guys.
