minority report series premier

Post by dragon »

The series premier air last night. Takes place in 2065 about 15 years after the movie and one of the Precogs that is now a young adult is hunted by his ability to see murder but unable to stop it.

While the episode was ok they had some nice tech. In the movie they had that big monitor where the data was displayed, in the episode the female cop had contact lenses that displayed all sorts of info, camera feeds from multiple drones, infrared detection, visual over lays that could be manipulated by the user. The had one person with neural interfaces that allowed him to control a flock of messanger pigeons. There were a few other niffty little techs.

Just watched it, enjoyable, but it's going to be hard to keep the concept fresh on a week to week basis. But then, I find most cop shows boring. The most enjoyable part of this was seeing Dash act awkward yet innocent around people.

Eh. Ii seemed to be a fairly standard police procedural with some CGI slapped over the top.
I found it to be nothing new and pretty much another serving of the standard fare TV has been serving up for a very long time now.
