If this "bootleg" wasn't staged, then blow me down, but either way there's something unexpectedly right about John Goodman in a neo-kaiju horror movie.

Look like it could be interesting. John Goodman is always great, and it looks like this movie has a different tone to it than the first one, which is nice. No more faux found footage style; they look to be in some sort of underground bunker, with God knows what horror going on at the surface.

Just as a guess, John Goodman's character is someone who has gone rather round the bend, and takes out his frustrations on his two 'friends', breaking their bones, hence both of them wearing bandages and slings. Which would make a rather interesting movie, a kaiju movie in which the primary villain is the domestic abuser chasing them across the wasteland, as its preferable to his shelter.
