What if Teal'c remained on the Jaffa council?
In season 9 of SG1, Cameron Mitchell asks Teal'c to join his version of Stargate SG1. Teal'c, being a leader in the newly formed Jaffa Council, rejoins SG1 for many adventures, having Rak'nor serve as his proxy. What if instead of rejoining SG1, Teal'c had remained on the council, how would things have gone different?

I'm not sure if a whole lot changes significantly. The main thing about S9 and S10 was the fight against the Ori; Teal'c might have been able to keep the Ori from influencing the Jaffa, but beyond that, I'm not sure how much he contributed to the actual efforts of the SGC at that time other than being SG-1's tank, occasional depository of Jaffa/Goa'uld knowledge, and eyebrow-raiser.
There is one episode where he did come in rather vitally-- the end of Season 10, the time-dilation bit. Without his lifespan, SG-1 and Landry never would've made it. Without them, we wouldn't have Ark of Truth and the ultimate defeat of the Ori.

It's a strange world. Let's keep it that way.
