I dare say the Orion's Arm thread is dead enough to go up here for posterity.

Plus a thread on Rifts a fun, silly, insanely-over-the-top RPG.

The popular spin-off Rifts Dimensions books here.

And the universe of Honor Harrington (granted there's already a link to the fan wiki here) is examined in three threads to date.

First Thread books 1-4

Second Thread books 5-9

Third Thread books 10+ (work in progress)

Crown of Slaves spin-off series, likewise in progress at time of posting.

A wiki for fans of David Drake's RCN series. It is a wiki, so take what it says with a grain of salt.

Also, David Drake's RCN series blog posts

Finally, the Wikipedia article, which is reasonably accurate for Wikipedia, giving a general overview.
"Beware the Beast, Man, for he is the Devil's pawn. Alone amongst God's primates, he kills for sport, for lust, for greed. Yea, he will murder his brother to possess his brother's land. Let him not breed in great numbers, for he will make a desert of his home and yours. Shun him, drive him back into his jungle lair, for he is the harbinger of Death.."

"Indelible in the hippocampus is the laughter. The uproarious laughter between the two, and their having fun at my expense.”

The characters sometimes seem to blur the central plot in some episodes.
