C'tan vs. the Federation
One C'tan Versus the federation, maybe with a few necrons and a small ship. Please note the C'tan is out for amusement, not destruction, how do you reckon the feds will die?

If the C`tan is out for fun then the Federation may not even know what is happening. They do loose ships for no reason from time to time. Also it depends on the C`tan nightbringer would start wholesale slaughter while deciever would turns the AQ powers against each other to cover his tracks.

Yeah, more to the point, Assuming you are the C'tan in question, what would you do to the ent-e, Voyager and DS-9?

I'd turn them into twisted spacegoing icons of terror, madness and death, with which to spread horror and darkness throughout the ST galaxy. It's not massively imaginative, I admit, but it'd do me just fine.NecronLord wrote:Yeah, more to the point, Assuming you are the C'tan in question, what would you do to the ent-e, Voyager and DS-9?

Aside from our ships being biger, faster, better armed, armoured, and designed in a competent manner or simply better...

Enterprise E Slash the warp core with a C`tan blade then phase out of normal space. Deep Space ( be very insidious appear rto the Bajorans and claim to be one of the Prophets sent to lead them on a holy crusade to cleanse the Galaxy of all unbelivers give them Ncron weapons technology to use. Voyager renew the Show for another 12 seasons and add a few more chars like oh say Wesley Crusher.

Damm thats evil, but the ratings would shoot up for DS9, who wouldn't like to see that? and they don't ever give the full necron technology to anyone, though they gave the IoM most of it's most advanced tech, for fun.Typhonis 1 wrote:Enterprise E Slash the warp core with a C`tan blade then phase out of normal space. It's this kind of statement that's going to make me start buying 40k sourcebooks again. Talking of which, interesting to read in this month's White Dwarf that the Blackstone Fortress that I've been using to shaft the Imperial Navy in BFG is in fact not a Chaos or Necron artifact, but an ancient, divine Eldar weapon created to fight the C'Tan with beams of raw warp energy. Cool...NecronLord wrote:and they don't ever give the full necron technology to anyone, though they gave the IoM most of it's most advanced tech, for fun.

Yup the C'tan called the Dragon set up the cult mechanicus. It's also mentioned in codex necrons that it was the deciver has locate the talismen of Vaul, I.e. there is another set of blackstone fortresses out there, and the necrons know where they are... (wouldn't that be a kewl inquisitor/40K campain?)

Wow...
How are they going to sort all this out? How does the Imperium move on after a disclosure like that - can they really keep something of this magnitude secret? What is the massive spherical object picked up by deep space scans? And what happens when the Dragon wakes? It makes me wonder if GW is going to close up shop, what with all the apocalyptic goings on in both 40k and Warhammer Fantasy.
They've said that Abaddon didn't realise the Blackstone Fortresses' full potential. Given that they can already destroy stars, ravage planets and vapourise battlecruisers for fun, it'll be... interesting to see what a fully operational Fortress could do.

The IoM is very good at keeping secrets Radi0 after all they've managed to hide the fact that if they switched the Golden Throne off, the Emps would either Live again or ascend to Full God hood and proceed to lay a 'can off' down. They've kept this secret since the very inception off the Golden Throne...
As for the new more Apocalypitic bent to the whole line. You can probably blame that, (Or thank it) on Pokemon. No seriously, when Pokemon came out it hit the profits of GW as all the young gamers collected the Pokemon cards. (After all it dosn't involve hours of painting) So they had to restructure, the decision was made to start aiming for older gamers as a starting point than before, hence the whole line getting dark again.

The object is a dyson sphere, it's descibed on page 59, and it's an active dyson spere, it activly absorbs energy and processes prisoners. Its also bigger and better than the trek one, and it's likely they can move it...RadiO wrote:Wow...

Blackstone fortresses can kill a C'tan by sucking it into the warp. well it sucks them into the warp and they can't get back...
