Skynet vs Middle Earth

Post by Darth Valdemar »

Skynet discovers a recently-opened wormhole leading to Middle Earth. It is at about the time of the Fellowship of the Ring, in the M.E. timeline.

Skynet decides to invade. It commits the following forces:
  • 50,000 T-800
  • 50 T-1000
  • 500 Ground HKs
  • 250 Flying HKs
They arrive in the shire, and their objective is to take over Middle Earth.

Anyway, what would happen?

Those HKs could probably wipe out the orcs without endo support. Man, they're nasty!

I don't think ME could hurt any of those units, so they would easily win.

Bit one sided methinks, I can't see arrows and swords taking down any T-800s or HKs or well anything Skynet has,

Oi, Jesus Q. Christ riding a horny pony into sunday school! Enough with the '*Blank* Vs Middle Earth' threads! Is this supposed to be a serrious comparison, or some SpaceBattles-esque subjective "They win cause I like them more, and (insert made-up BS idea in place of an actual observation)"? I've gotten all confusimedated. :? :?

Calm down. This is the 'vs' forum, in case you forgot, so they're all legal. Secondly, if they irritate you, don't read them.

Regardless of legality, isn't it pretty pointless to make comparisons that mismatched? And I'll read whatever I please, irritation's got nothing to do with it. I was just mentioning my opinion on the inanety of a subject that takes 3 seconds to get an accurate qualitative conclusion.

Then again, if an entire internet niche can be founded upon discussing the finer details on the mismatch between SW and ST, I can admit there's some merit available to this thread.

They would win easily and such all forces within Middile Earth. I'd epxect Skynet would be smart enough to capture and emply weapons needed to kill various magical things, assuming its technogly is not sufficent. However I expect it would, high tech=magic..

Not if you want a second opinion.

So you knowingly get yourself involved in a discussion that will irritate you? Isn't that how RayCav had a heart attack? (or whatever)

I think that's exactly the belief behind this forum.

Orc charges would well...die.

But as soon as they meet Gandalf or a Balrog, or Sauron...

(Reads through IG-88E's apparent screwy attmept to start a fight with me the second time, or something...)

...

:? :( hog ug bruh? When did you buy shares in Agenda Against Utsanomiko? Sometimes I just don't get your mentality, IG-88E. What did I say to make you flare up against a minor point? I thought only my brother could rile people up with one post...

Who's second opnion on this thread is going to be for the Hobbits and Orcs? And didn't I make it distinctly clear that I was comparing this board to this matchup to provide myself a conterpoint? Maybe I just don't know how to understand my own post.

Good thing I didn't post any 'trivia', or I'd have been ripped a new one.

50,000 T-800s? Isn't that like, more than the entire population of Middle Earth?

I'm not flaring up. Really!

Anyone's second opinion. He isn't sure himself, so he posts to get a reply.

I'm a useless pile of subhuman racist filth who attacked Darth Wong's heritage and accused him of abusing his wife and children!

Heres a question.

As you haven't specified what ME has, they can have

Illuvatar a.k.a. Eru a.k.a. the one

Who created ME with a thought.

At approx 90exajoules per KG mass.
and an earth size planet
this descends into farcically easy for ME

But this is fellowship time period, so Illuvatar isn't really mentioned I guess.

The only thing I see going for ME are things like Balrogs, the remaining Maiar, and Sauron. Other than that, Skynet rolls ME over.

But he was never killed, he just doesn't pay much attention to them, however an invasion by killer robots would probably grab his attention. Admittedly after a lot of ME gets trashed, then he'd turn up and squish skynet.

I'm gonna bite, here.

While they would not deal with Sauron directly, I suspect the gods of Middle Earth, Aule, Manwe, etc. would get involved if Skynet showed up. And believe me, Even Skynet couldn't take them. These guys make the Balrog's look like wusses.

The only defense SkyNet would have is its Nukes, would would not, I think, work in Middle Earth.
