Bajak Universe weapons (warning: bullshit physics inside)

I'm doing a story/animation/series online (resently just called simply Bajak Universe after where it takes place). The weapons are discussed here. C&C welcome.

There are two major weapon types, standard projectile and exotic-matter projectile. Standard projectile weapons are your standard bullet/shell+gunpowder/cordite/whatever. Exotic-Matter weaponry uses a form of matter (story physics) that when it comes in contact with normal everyday matter, self annihilates and pours its energy into the normal matter in the form of motion/heat (mass-to-energy conversion, however exotic matter has much less energy for any given gram then normal matter).

The basic idea is that upon, the exotic matter comes in contact with the target and heats it up rapidly and intensely causing an explosion (of varying size depending on the size of the bolt). When fired, the shot would sound like your everyday gun (because of the rapid formation of the bolt, and the explosive heating of the surrounding air). The bolt would travel very quickly, but wouldnt self-annihilate against the air quickly due to lower density (air is much less dense then the target).

Now, when the bolt impacts upon a shield surface(see below), it would break up like a mudball falling from a great height. Because of the vastly increased surface-area of the exotic matter, it rapidly heats up the surrounding air creating an explosion (and possibly minor radiation if the energies are high enough).

Shields: standard shields in the storyverse use what can be considered exotic matter with a different charge then that use in weaponry (luckily this form is non-volatile). When weapons grade exotic matter nears shield grade exotic matter, they repel one another (unless in classical physics where likes repel and unlikes attract). When used in a shield, the shield grade exotic matter is suspended a specific distance from the generator.

Also, the mechanism by which the field is generated can be used to repel weapons grade exotic matter. Shield grade exotic matter can also be infused in hull materials to act as a shield without using a shield generator, however shield generators are used because they also offer protection against shells.

Another use of exotic matter is to fill a chamber with weapons grade exotic matter under high pressure and release it quickly into the surrounding space creating an explosion.

Also, exotic matter emits EM at varying freqs depending on force applied. I'll figure out the equations later, but the color ranges are somewhere between radio frequency and blue-violet. I imagine the RF interference would show up in radio transmissions similar to the way lighting does.
