On Force Weapons
It does indeed seem that while it's possible to banish a demon by attacking its physical form, a powerful psychic attack (like from a Nemesis Force Weapon wielded by a Grey Knight) tends to be more effective.. then again, of course, this would of course depend on the strength of the psychic attack as well.Large Xenos and Daemons that are resilient to conventional weapons can be slain outright by a single wound, as their body and mind are withered by the unimaginable powers of the Immaterium.
Shortie's hypothesis seems to fit: the demons are able to hold their physical form together using their warp existence, thus attacking their warp existence directly with psychic attacks is more effective.
Fascinating. I wonder where the misguided, dogmatic understanding of the Adeptus Mechanicus ends, and rituals that have have actual effect against warp-spawned entities begins.Connor MacLeod wrote:A case could also be made in that the fanatical belief and the whole quasi-religious apporach to technology confer some sort of blessing or enchantment on weapons that allow them to damage such creatures...
While it's true that their quasi-religious view of science and engineering is ridiculous, it's also a fact that the supernatural (the Immaterium and its effects) also exists in 40k. The question is, where is the line drawn?
