Not very practical, but I like the solar sailors from Phoebus Krumm. Probably carrying the space as ocean thing a bit far, but you can't deny they're pretty to look at.

The bubble is a field that retains atmosphere and retains/radiates heat as needed. Yes, those are solar sails, crew quarters, weapons etc are mostly in the acorn shape.

I like how this is turning out- a lot of the good stuff people used to do, back when book covers were often made by painters instead of Photoshop artists.

To me it is beautiful, I don't know if it's the straight forward, simplistic and extremely realistic design or just me being nerdy over a spaceship, but I honestly find that ship to be absolutely gorgeous.

The nBSG Galactica is the only other ship that I find beautiful.
