Multiverses where all fiction is real is an inherently magical concept, and we're clearly allowed to mix and match universes with contradictory physical laws, but fine--if we're not using the "M" word, I can adjust my plans.Corvus 501 wrote:Good plan SMJB, though 1, this is sci fi, and your talking about fantasy but secondly, you don't have the population needed to keep a hive world working.
Who do I fill Coruscant with? Well, some people from the native universe who know how the native technology works--not to mention how to maintain the planet's vital systems--is a good start. Then, as many people from the following political entities as will fit, with the aforementioned caveats and in the best possible mix:
- The Federation from Star Trek
- The Star Kingdom/Empire of Manticore from the Honorverse
- The Asgard from SG-1, if they don't violate the tech ceiling of the SW universe.
- Earth from SG-1
- the 12 Colonies from Caprica (the prequel to the new BSG)
- Earth from Ghost in the Shell
- Panem from The Hunger Games (just in case any of their bio-engineered goodies/bioengineering skills may be useful)
- Earth from Alien Nation, just because I can.
- Alternia from Homestuck, likewise.
- For that matter, Earth from Homestuck. Assuming these are valid.
- Whatever the name of the planet Freefall takes place on was, whenever the next FTL ship arrives.
- Earth from Jurassic Park. Because. (Novel and movie universes both, naturally.)
- Something where psychic powers are a legitimate thing, common, and well-understood.
- Hey, wait a second, there's actually two Star Wars universes now (the old EU and the Disney version)--I can nab jedi from whichever one I'm not in.
- Various hyperintelligent entities from the Orion's Arm universe, though I suppose at that point I'm no longer in control...
- Maybe some ships and groups of people from the Alien and Known Space universes, just to increase the number of FTL types I have access to (also, Known Space has psychics).
- That freaking inter-dimensional portal from Conquistador (a novel by S.M. Stirling), and New Virginia can be our first conquest.
