A bit off topic, but I've heard a lot of people complaining about the new Dalek design and colour scheme. I don't mind it; any other opinions on it?

Rememberence is 'good' because Davros shows up and destroys his planet with his own stupidity. It's unfortunately got some pretty dodgey direction and pacing going on, but it's no Resurrection.NecronLord wrote: I'd say Rememberence is good...
...because of its relative lack of Davros.
The real lol of Rememberence is the rage it drove John Peel into and the horrible fanfic he had published to 'fix' it.

The End of Time Part 2 was a great episode.

The first part was interesting, but the second had master clones and time lords, and some stupidity of epic proportions...ChosenOne54 wrote:I thought it was pretty good personally.

What's wrong with the Time Lords? I thought it was a great way to come full circle, and end Tennant's role, with him confronting his own race. The scenes with the Time Lords were done pretty well.

Re: 'Parting of the Ways' Dalek fleet vs. the Empire
It wasn't having the Time Lords back that was the problem...it was writing them as pathetic comic-book villains. That and the absurd "Lols, we'll wipe out the entire universe and ascend for the win!"
Humbug, Anubis tried that in Stargate and it didn't work

Baltar: "I don't want to miss a moment of the last Battlestar's destruction!"
Centurion: "Sir, I really think you should look at the other Battlestar."
Baltar: "What are you babbling about other...it's impossible!"
Centurion: "No. It is a Battlestar."
Corrax Entry 7:17: So you walk eternally through the shadow realms, standing against evil where all others falter. May your thirst for retribution never quench, may the blood on your sword never dry, and may we never need you again.

Well, at the very least, the scene where the Doctor was holding them at gun-point was done well.
Re: 'Parting of the Ways' Dalek fleet vs. the Empire
No, it wasn't.
The Time Lords were demonstrated as being genocidal (uni-cidal?) raving loonies who had the collective intelligence of a retarded redneck.
The over-acting was terrible. The plot holes were massive. And the entire plot was mind numbingly stupid.
They fucked up the character of the Master - he's always been a cool, collected villain who had some semblance of style. This one was just lame.
The Doctor continuously acted like a fucking moron - yes, a villain who shoot energy from his hands ... I'll just walk slowly towards him until I get hit, brilliant!.
The Time Lords, as mentioned, were just fucked up seven ways to Sunday and their plan (and resulting well-being) rested on safekeeping a diamond. And it was in the hands of the Master, who hates them.
It was certainly up there with the brain stabbing idiocy of Journey's End (yes, let's tow the entire planet around ... I'm sure no one will die or be injured or whatever! Fuck basic physics and common sense!), it really was.

Re: 'Parting of the Ways' Dalek fleet vs. the Empire
The fanfic idea that the Time Lords were never destroyed, and the Doctor was simply in 'puratory' for his crimes and disconnected from them until he had made good his sins and helped the universe and himself after the war, is actually better. It doesn't even require a deux ex machina buildup + lame reset button!
And that's TERRIBLE.

Re: 'Parting of the Ways' Dalek fleet vs. the Empire
But I kinda of wonder what will happen when the Master has been introduced into the final hours of the Time War on Gallifrey, they'll be back sooner than we think. And the Time Lords have invariably been depicted as arsewipes or/and morons: why didn't they instead send something horrible like an N-Form to delete the Dalek's past in "Genesis of the Daleks" for example? And in their debut story they killed the 2nd incarnation of the Doctor and banished him to Earth.
