I'll note that we've seen one of Roslin's visions come true, that of the cylon being sucked up and away from her.

Yeah but shes the one who ordered the airlock open. Nice self-fulfilling prophecy.

So do we think that Boomer was lying/making up the number of Cylons? I wonder why Harvey #6 didn't stop him from finding out; knowing the number of Cylons onboard would be detrimental to the Cylon plan, would it not? Unless Boomer pulled the number out of her ass, in which case Harvey wouldn't care.

Also, it's not going to be much of a civil war, since with the exception of a few sympathizers and maybe some Geminon contingents the military seems to love Adama.

Also, out of curiosity, dug up an old thread about nBSG. Here. Looks like we've all had some major opinion shifts since then.

Well, my first reaction was that it was just a number she yelled out. But I would not be at all surprised if it turned out to be true.

And how did she know that was the way the cylon would be sucked out? Given that the scenes were green-screened using the same shot of the same actor...

Actually I've got an easier question; was this vision before or after Adama showed her the pictures of the two knonw Cylon models? If it was before, then everyone denying that it was prophetic better come up with a better reason than self-fulfilling (although, lets be honest, it was)).

It was before. Infact I think it was the start of the episode.

I did suggest also that the cylons might have tinkered with Roslin's brain for some reason...

Well i'll be honest...it's scifi.

Ok, lets be blunt, psionic powers (like precognition) are the bread and butter of 90% of science fiction. Hell the whole Star Wars series is based around the concept of an order of spacefaring psychic warrior monks, for cryin' out loud.

The obvious, and yes most logical answer (out of universe) is that she's developed precognitive powers because of damage or alteration the drugs did to her brain, probably how the original 'prophets' on Kobol got the powers too. And that her visions are, indeed, precognitive.

It really isnt 'religious', it's being realistic. The only reason to introduce the idea of a drug that has been known to cause precognition, and oh yeah, the chick taking it is having precognitive visions...is because she's really precognitive. It's NOT about religion, though she thinks it is, it seems, to me, to be more about chemical reactions.

Just my two cents.

Yeah, I'm starting to think that it is time to start up the rumour mill as to whether or not she's a Cylon given what Alyeska posted. Although 18-Till-I-Die presents another nice theory.
