Bah. Looking at the T850's level of human understanding, she'd probably see it as a stress relief for the savior of humanity and willingly do it. For the sake of all mankind.

Not much real angst unless he falls in love with her or something.

Aw crap, that's probably Season 2.

Stop... you're... you're just making it worse. Not just another bad scifi show, but robotic sex slaves too.

Can't you just FEEL the quality here? :)

Remember John. She's made of metal so she's a lot heavier than a normal girl. So never have her in the cowgirl position or she'll crush your pelvis. :D

It just writes itself.

.... Thank you... thank you very fucking much. Now all I can think of is that 'come with me if you want to live' sounds like a bad line from some real kinky porn. Bastard.

This is the most ridiculous looking thing ever. Does anyone see a lot of touches of Battlestar Galactica in the opening lines?

This sounds cripplingly lame.
But will it be in a 'so bad it's hilarious e.g. Wizards-Of-The-Lost-Kingdom' fashion, or will it be 'just plain awful'?

'Quality writers'. Thanks. Good one.
the whole teenage boy + hot robot thing is just going to be puerile bullshit.
Oh I don't know, it worked fine in 'My Life as a Teenage Robot'. :)

At the very least someone will forget that in a PWP fanfic.

I wait until at least 3 eps before making a decision on a show, but it looks entertaining at least.

Also, it gives a firefly alumni work. Ergo I am happy.

Finally, people need to realize that all filmed media revolve around Sex and Death. ALL filmed media. It's going to happen no matter what. There will be sex and there will be death, even if it's only in small amounts in some cases, they're always there.

'cept in some indy expresionist crap.

"I'm not who you think I am, I can't lead an army" - wouldn't it be nice if he didn't actually think that, and had gotten over his doubt in T2, rather than being faintly pathetic as in T3? He's been trained from birth to fight the machines; one would think he'd be quite confident by now.

He was a kid in T2. He should be a bit better in this, but he's still a teen. However, from the trailers it looks like his mother gets in deep shit when she tries to protect her son, so I think he does step up. Hopefully it just doesn't take too long.

Kinda sounds like "Small Wonder for the Matrix Crowd".

Just like "Matrix" was "Tron for the Terminator Crowd".

I fear this may bury Summer Glau, poor girl.
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

We saw a couple of clips of her in the trailer fighting naked. I wonder if this new director is going some kind of wierd obsession with Summer's feet?

Oh, pshaw, if this show ends up failing, Glau will just bounce back into something else. Whatever the various opinions of the show are based on these preview clips, it doesn't look at all like career-destroying material.

Who's the guy playing the Terminator? He looks really familiar...

Is this set after T2? Im hoping to see lots of guerilla training and paranoia in deep bunkers. . . although the highschool aspects look like a downer.

I'm gonna give it a chance for a few episodes. I had the same reaction to the Blade series when I saw the trailers - that being a feeling of utter dread at the crap that is about to be released - but it was a quite decent show in the end (by focusing on the interesting new supporting character).

And you get to see Summer Glau's naked, that's always a big plus.

Looks good to me - those were some snazzy special effects, and as long as it trends more towards T2 than T3 I'll be happy.

Hrm, why's the baddie a T-800? And what kind of Terminator is River Tam gonna be? It'd be odd if the Skynet-sent Bad Terminator was less advanced than River Tam.

They could both be T-800s of some flavour. The original idea for the T-800 was to be an unobtrusive guy, rather than Arrhnuld.

Unobtrusive guy is like that badguy in the trailers. River Tam isn't an unobtrusive guy, she's a tiny girl.

I can't really get worked up over this. The franchise is obviously being milked, which is funny coming after T3 which was well over a decade after the story was essentially shut.

A TV series? No, the story doesn't fit it, not without some spectacular acting and screenwriters. I can ignore canon because I could ignore T3 as an alternate timeline, separate from the original movies. But this is still going to push my SOD to an extent.

That video made me laugh, and made me lose any interest whatsoever in the concept.

“This season a mother will become a warrior” err didn’t she already do that between T1 & 2 and proceed to act like a warrior for all of T2?

Anyway looks like it’s gonna be yet another scifi/fantasy show with an attractive cast and way, way too much angst, now a bit of angst every now and then is fine but shows like Buffy from Season 2 onwards, Roswell, Smallville… just ladle it on far, far too thick and render them all but unwatchable.

Sarcasm sinks....can't hold...

*head explodes*

The bad terminator looks like Lt. Kelly from nBSG.

I'll watch it just so I can see that explosion scene with the T-800 losing its skin, that looked fucking badass.

Everything else, however, looked very sad.
