A human can indeed fire a minigun while on the move - any number of FPS games.

Rocket launchers have no recoil - Goldeneye

A beer can can explode and kill people - CS skins

A person can carry a railgun and fire it without adverse effects - Quake 3

A person can survive being hit by said railgun - Quake 3

A headshot from an antimatter rifle is survivable by a character of 10th level(LOL!!!!).
But Nitram seriously you actually are applying things that have real value(A Lightning bolt and extrapolating from that)

I'm talking about, guys arguing because said character can take up to five hundred gunshots...thus he can survive the collapse of the known universe.

That I find ammusing. Though i use inescapable death for things like that. I view hitpoints not so much as someone taking a hit head on, but there ability to twist and contort their bodies so as to protect themselves as much as possible(ie moving so the lightning bolt hits you in the leg instead of the face) with your con score representing your ability to keep doing that over, and over and over again, until your body just cant take it anymore and you crash to the ground with -1 hp

What, you mean I can't neatly sidestep rockets? But I do that in UT all the time!

I'd add the (ludicrously low) speeds you get for some Wing Commander and Freespace ships going purely on the game mechanics, and the build times for capital ships from Homeworld.

Thought of one more (from damn near all space simulators, including the X-wing series): top speed of spacecraft has an absolute limit, rather than being limited by acceleration and relativistic velocities.

In C-dogs dodging bullets is easy. You can even outrun them if you aren't surrounded. You can also carry an infinite supply of grenades and ammunition.

You can take many a shot-fun blast to the body (Doom)
You can survive a few seconds under the fire of a mini-gun (Doom)
You can survive multiple rockets hits (If at 200% armor and health. Otherwise you die on number two.)
An apposing monster (It was a cyberdemon.) can take over 50 rockets (No, I'm not kidding. I had 100 rockets. I ran for a little bit, and noticed I had 50 left) and keep coming.

You can carry a couple of hanguns, some rifles, a rocket launcher, and other assorted heavy weapons and still be able to run, jump and dodge constantly.

Rocket launchers don't have recoil in real life. Well there's a little from the friction of the rocket sliding down the tube, but that's very minor.

A single pilot can carry an entire war effort on his shoulders, with no effective help from his comrades-Almost any flight sim, but most recently and annoyingly, Rogue Leader.

Running out to the edge of a screen with only 2 seconds left, = you survive x-grade nuclear blast (Fallout 1 & 2) with no long term problems (Like radation poisoning)

Take a little pill and all of those rads goes away (Fallout)

Erm Clothing lasts over 80 years, and will fit a descendant of the original wearer, regaurdless of Gender Difference (Fallout 1 to Fallout 2)

You can carry an AK down the street without a single person so much as reacting to it (GTA3, VC, and many other games too)

Any car crash, no matter how catastrophic, can be walked away from without so much as a scratch as long as the car doesn't catch fire or you don't land in water

The seven samurai (7 uber kensai) defending a pagoda on a hillside.

They took out over 2500 of the enemy, thats archers, yari, no-dachi, light and heavy cav....

It was an unbelievable slaughter. Then with a rallying charge the enemy general (in a Naginata cav unit) took down the last of them.

The hill was literally covered in corpses.

The other great one was the lone uber Kensai standing in the middle of a bridge: "You - SHALL NOT - PASS!" The enemy forgot to bring archers to the party. 1 lost kensai at the cost of 1400 enemy piled up on the bridge. When the enemy can only attack in ones and twos kensai are GODS.

that's exactly what im tralking about the game mechanics for console RPG's are not usefull in debates (computer Rpg's may be slightly more realistic) i mean turn-based combat????? monsters being able to survive multi-megaton explosions and then die from a series of sword slashes that ain't realistic

Fight your way through Hell - Doom
Guns no matter how large or small never need re-loaded - UT
Duken Nukem 3d had reloading for ht epsitol, and the super shhotgun has to be reloaded by hand, as in, you open the stock, drop the casing inside, shove in two more, and then close it. Just some examples of realism.
Enemies are pretty dumb and will not rush you en-mass - any FPS
Play Doom. You will get rushed by Demons at some point. Not fun.

There's obviously a difference, but there are quite a few who demand I not use the game statistics(Fine in most cases, but in AD&D, that's going against stated canonicity policy). Obviously, mortals can fall to modern weapons if they hit, but I've had people claim a Lich should fall to a Marine just because they have a large weapon.

it takes several hits for one tank to kill another
you can build a building in less than a minute and then procede to train a squad in the same amount of time
you can use resources with a minimum of processing
