Why not the Omega? It's far more of a classic, and we have a lot more battle data from which to estimate its capibilities. Overall, however, I agree that B5 makes a great universe to crossover with nBSG.
I wish to propose for the reader's favorable consideration a doctrine which may, I fear, appear wildly paradoxical and subversive. The doctrine in question is this: that it is undesirable to believe a proposition when there is no ground whatever for supposing it true. I must, of course, admit that if such an opinion became common it would completely transform our social life and our political system; since both are at present faultless, this must weigh against it.

Eek! My eyes! My eyes! They are burning from all the B5Tech wank! This is a lot better.

As for the vs, I believe that the fighter superiority of nBSG will give them a definite advantage.

Have a very nice day.

Bab5, Space Above and Beyond and Firefly all Make Great Universes to Crossover with nBSG, As they None of the these Universes had tech that is much lower of much higher then nBSG, really once you discount the First ones, Shadows, vorlons etc, and strip all these wankers and just use the yoounger races the tech is very close indeed.

Perhaps they'd have a chance against a small pre-Alliance Grayson or Masadan ship. Contact nukes and not laser heads; inferior PD, using reaction drive missles and not impellers; printed circuits and not molycircs for electronics; no bow or stern walls; and titanium armor - what the Manties use for merchant ships- instead of battlesteel. At the very least, they'd be more likely to be able to jump out in time, given that they'd not be surprised by laser heads bursting at range. The Graysons would still have a huge edge, though.

To the Manties, not necessarily NBSG. The Graysons used the same thing for PD nBSG does: autocannon.
, using reaction drive missles and not impellers;
for countermissiles. IIRC Grayson/Masadan ATTACK missiles were impeller-driven, too.Madrigal was (eventually) taken out by Masadan missiles, and the battle for Orbit for strongly supports that what with Masadan AND Grayson attack missiles being visible on gravitics.
printed circuits and not molycircs for electronics;
which is completely unquantifiable one way or the other,
no bow or stern walls; and titanium armor - what the Manties use for merchant ships- instead of battlesteel.
Which, again, is rather hard to quantify.

I tend to agree.
