Aha! Comics!!!
Gotta stand by the big guy. I highly recommend the graphic novel Hulk: The End by David and Keown. It's the last story of the Hulk set in a future where he and Banner are the last living person on Earth. Very cool story. Also there was a mini-series that was collected into a trade paperback called Banner, which told the Hulk story in a very real world where the Hulk is a true murdering engine of destruction and Bruce Banner lives knowing that if he gets mad people will die. Another great story.
Second is Spidey, and for that I guess I'd recommend Peter Parker: Spider-Man #20 by Paul Jenkins. Great character insight, Jenkins will be missed.
Third place... probably have to go with Death's Head (original, not DH II). There's a guy with a floating moral center you can't help but love. Broke my heart that those UK bastards killed him. Incomplete Death's Head #1 retells some great stories including Death's Head vs. Dr. Who and the three rules of bountyhunting.
Fourth goes to Batman. Of course, there's no comparison to Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns.
And finally, DC vs. Marvel #4, which includes Batman and Captain America working side by side to save the universe in a great scene where they are torn down to the sum of their experiences. Also has a brief appearance by Dark Claw (the Batman/Wolverine amalgam) and Super Soldier (the Superman/Captain America amalgam) and a great cover of them being amalgamated.

Also for Hulk stories...I would like to throw in Future Imperfect.
Hulk meets his almost future version(and part one ends on such a great line).

Daredevil. Mostly because I've got horrible vision, and I like the idea of a blind superhero.
I also like Spiderman and Dr. Strange. Dr. Stephen Strange is one of my favorites because he's really just a relatively normal human with incredible mystic knowledge. Unfortunately, I've only ever found two comics with him (I'm not a big collector).

I loved Rogue before they made her a T&A wet dream. The idea of a teenage brat with all the powers of Superman (and no compunctions whatsoever about using them to kick ass and have fun) is just so cool. She lost lotsa layers when she became goody two shoes.Gandalf wrote:Who do you like?

Not to be a wet blanket, but Rogue is no Superman. The official Marvel Encyclopedia (2002) lists her in the 25-70 ton range for strength. The fan-made Marvel Directory (www.marveldirectory.com) pegs her at 50 tons (and speaking of pegging her... ).Eleas wrote:I loved Rogue before they made her a T&A wet dream. But your points are still true. I just like to nitpick.
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

I always liked Enemy Ace. What's not to love about a WWI pilot with a wild black wolf for a pal?

"The Wire" is the best show in the history of television. Watch it today.

Well Wolvie, and Spiderman, as long as it's done by by JMS... He's really taking Spidy to new levels. (He's got a new sub plot going is Spidy a result of a Scientific mistake or was something else involved. Has got the Whole Mary Jane and Parker big Decision on the future of their marrige in real doubt it's a real what will happen in issue 50 moment. Which was not what I expected, I thought it would be they get back together for sure, now I don't know!) And yep Dread HATES Vigilanties, they obstruct Justice.
From a review of the two Towers.... 'As for Gimli being comic relief, what if your comic relief had a huge axe and fells dozens of Orcs? That's a pretty cool comic relief. '
