Not all spells seem to have visual effects for example none of the Transfiguation(Of which I refer to as a possible means of defense) seem to have any sort of effect besides changing the item in question

Also it could be considered that they could turn things into cannon fodder long enough to hit them with a few choose things

Mr. Bean:
Turning the Jedi into small fuzzy bunnies for example might be a viable attack method, that or attack thier light-sabers and poof them away
Here's a simple counter to that spell...
Hogwort Wizard: Stop! Or I'll turn you into a hare!

Jedi Knight: (waves hand) You will turn yourself into a hare!

Hogwart Wizard: I will turn myself into a hare!
!POOF!
The Jedi knight slices the head of a cute, fuzzy hogwart hare.

Jedi Kyle's enough. As long as Stackpole isn't writing, Corran doesn't stand a chance.

Hmmm... I can just imagine...

Hogwarts: *unleashes uber wizardry powers*
Corran Horn: *gets hurt but absorbs wizard powers, then proceeds to zap every wizard with their own powers*

*Yawn* Next.

This is out of character. Where's the part where Corran proves his moral superiority?

I can just see Kyle walking through the halls, eliminating swarms of annoying students, picking up every last weapon (inclusig about 20 oversized wands that do various things and are never used).

What the hell's everyone's love affair with Kyle Katarn about, anyway? He's just another no-personality twinkie - granted, not to the ridiculous level of Corran, but still...

The only way I could see victory for hogwarts is if they use all the students as canon fodder and proceded to use the killing and control spells. The problem with transformation spells is that the cute fuzzy animal would probably still have force skills. Imagine a Yoda Bunny

Easy enough. Just rename him "Ikrit".

Never again compare Kyle to Corran. I don't like Kyle nearly as much as some people do, but in terms of coolness, Kyle blows Corran away.

I didn't like Ikrit, either. Good thing he died.

Perish the thought! I was merely making a point.

Ikrit was ok for being a character from a kiddie book written by KJA's wife.

Incidentally, what the hell is going to happen with Ikrit's prophecy about Anakin? Isn't Anakin dead, and therefore unavailable to do much of anything?

Well the childrens books are lower on the cannon food chain then the WEG rpg. Remember one series has Han and Leia marrying in a completley contradictory way of the novels, and has Leia get a force guidied prophecy that she will only have two kids.

And I liked Ikrit, I was going to chop him up and make A coon style hat.

Which series was it that contradicted The Courtship of Princess Leia?

Also, that does not mean that all children's books are lower on the canon food chain than others. The Galaxy of Fear series is actually apocryphal (which is part of why it is the only SW book series that I do not own). Nothing in there "actually" happened, in terms of chronology. And the YJK and JJK, however much we dislike them, are as much a part of the EU as the WEG games, like it or not.

Harry: Go on Ron, toast it for tea tonite.
Ron: Right. Silly little bliter. One rabbit stew coming right up.
(Ron pre-pares to use a spell but is Force thrown into Yoda's now discarded lightsabre which decapitates him)
Harry: JESUS CHRIST!!!

No personality? Well, we don't get to see much of his history, but he's a funny guy, with a lot of character. And while he "recharges" a lot faster and uses more force powers, its a VIDEO Game. They do that. First person shooters see people kill lots of enemies. It happens.

Yoda would take them out easily.

Little Ankin Solo(young) could take them out with little difficulty.

It happens, and it's irritating. He's still the one to take down a guy Luke can't tangle with. He may have some witty things to say, but that doesn't IMO amount to character. And I loved Jedi Outcast, but let's face it - Kyle is just a stock action hero.

He comes off better in Jedi Knight.
