Here Doom's armor soaks an 'atomic grenade' (he is unharmed on the next page):Simon_Jester wrote:I honestly think Doom's armor will not prove lightsaber-proof, even granted that it can take individual blasts of raw blunt force trauma from, say, the Hulk. By analogy, half inch steel plates will do a good job resisting being beaten on by a gorilla, but they won't resist an acetylene torch very well.

Here he tanks a shot from Thanos wielding the omnipotence granting Infinity Gauntlet. It obviously isn't a full power shot, but according to the narrator was intended to cause his 'total defeat and destruction':

Your guess is as good as mine as to how those compare to a lightsaber in power output, but they aren't blunt force punches.
Here he uses the Crimson Bands to restrain Iron Man. This is essentially a magical force bubble:That said, if Doom routinely carries on his person (at least does so when prepared for battle) weapons or magic capable of feats like trapping people in force field bubbles, throwing them backwards in time, and the like... yes, I'd say he has a good chance in this fight overall.

I can show you a zillion other time travel feats, including using time travel to bring his castle back from destruction, using time travel to learn new magic and prepare for combat, and using time travel as an offensive weapon and as an escape power. There are a ridiculous number of other goofy gadgets, like a 'molecular expander' in his glove that shoots dust particles that then expand into massive boulders. Hilariously, the vast majority of these are non-lethal, because comics. Would a 'tranquilizer ray' which stopped the Hulk work on Vader? Doom can always use his blasters as a coup de grace, if turning Darth Vader to stone or paralyzing him isn't considered lethal enough. Finally, one of Doom's gimmicks is stealing the powers of others, and he has done this to other sorcerers, Odin, Galactus, Franklin Richards, the Hulk, the Fantastic Four, and many others, and has even absorbed boring old sunlight and electricity. I would argue that this would likely work on the Force as well, but even if it doesn't, I suspect that having the power drained out of his cybernetics would cause Vader some inconvenience.
