That was Jetfire / Skyfire. Depending if you went by the name found on the toy box, or of his name in the TV series. And yes, he was cool.

"Iron within! Iron without!"
Has to be Soundwave, bad ass , cool voice plus all his little pals.....Soundwave was the manipulator of the Decepticons always working behind the scenes to advance his own agenda. Let Starscream make all the noise and be inept.....Soundwave was THE man

That, and he had the coolest voice ever.

If we go by the comics, which is the Version of Transformers I had access to, Ravage. In the comics he could talk, was all but invisible, had decent powers, and once nearly defeated Spider Man which is a heck of a feat in Marvel Comics.
Don't you think you could have bumped a more RECENT version of this thread (namely mine which I only made a week or so ago) instead of a thread which has been rotting in obscurity for months?
And which Megatron? Please tell me not that sack of shit G1 cartoon Megatron. He couldn't lead DarkStar to a stupid conclusion let alone an army.
From my friend's expanded universe:
My Character "Iron Horse" who got woke up a century before the rest of the Autobots and was damaged fighting those pesky martians, (The victorian Sci-Fi refrences alone kept him cool.
Of course his post recovery look was nice, sleak, and Euro/Japan Bullettrain look.
The scariest folk song lyrics are "My Boy Grew up to be just like me" from cats in the cradle by Harry Chapin
For the toys, Fortress Maximus. I still have an (almost) complete one, missing one gun cover.
I always liked Bumblebee in the comics, since he was the underdog who somehow accomplished the impossible mission. I also liked Mirage, with the illusions he could create, and I wish I had a Skyfire toy. I don't even know who half of mine are any more. I have a big rubbermaid full of them, and I only know the names of about a dozen. I do have all the pieces to two of the Decepticon five-transformer combiners, the animal one with Hunngrr and Bolt and the vehicle one with Brawl (don't remember any other names).
